Kotick Wants Call of Duty Subscriptions "Tomorrow"

Well I won't be playing CoD.
Fix'd. Everyone pays for games silly.
a lot of good games already have it, why not add it to an even better game?
Go die in a fire Kotick.
What a bastard.
oh no paying for a game i like to play what has this world come to
If you don't mind, and have the extra cash, by all means do so. You should know however, that by allowing this to happen, kotick and his shareholders will not stop at subscriptions.
How does the idea of DLC bullets sound? Only twenty-five cents a clip.

Are you touting this as a feature?
what the fuck
I'm not paying one more cent to that fucking moron

To be perfectly honest, he's a genius.
Then again, so was Hitler, but still.
I don't care that he's making money.
I care that he's trying to make it seem as if adding subscriptions is anything more than a shitty money grab. No one wants subs, no one needs subs. As mentioned above; if he really wanted to expand the game he would just release an SDK for free.
Also I wouldn't call him a genius. He's not developing anything that's a part of the subscription model. He just got up one day and said 'I want to charge sub fees to take advantage of everyone'.
It's not that hard of an idea to come up with, it's just a really greedy one.
EDIT: also, bringing up hitler? please
If Call of Duty ever got a subscription fee I would collect all of the CoD discs that I could and use them to slit Bobby's throat one at a time. He deserves it.

Hmm I might have come off a bit too violent.

He's a genius at gaining money and creating enemies.
A moron at moral standards.

The reason he's a genius is because he knows he can do this.
Also, it's funny because you didn't think that the devil was too extreme, and hitler was.
More funny because that part was a joke.
Gabe Newell needs to kick Koticks ass.

you best be trollin' son
Modern Warfare's a mediocre game, people will agree with me. Its addictive, I'll give you that, but the amount of rage the series has given me because of issues they don't care enough to fix (glitches, OP weapons, lag). I'm not going to pay extra money per month for stuff that shouldn't even be a problem.
There going to leave even more players then they already have since they started charging for DLC
you know if a company did this for a shooter, but did it right such as keeping the game constantly updated by fixing bugs as they appear and making sure all the weapons are balanced, having constant tournaments, adding new content constantly and making sure hackers are dealt with then i wouldn't have a problem paying 10-15 bucks a month to play that game
the thing is, no company is going to do that right now so yes, fuck off Activision your game is going to be exactly the same except you have to monthly
DEAR GOD INFINITY WARD GET YOUR ASSES OUT OF THAT TYRANTS GRIP!

Infinity ward left ages ago
The leaders and majority of the team did anyways. I think the rest were shut down
There goes their money, only dedicated fanboys will play now

No, IW are still owned by Activision.
Activision is holding back their bonus money for working on MW2, so some IW staff are staying on.

More like Kotick had them killed.
This is why I stopped playing Call of Duty after CoD2. I told my friends about the rumors of monthly subscription to CoD6 and they were like "thats bullshit" welp, look who's laughing now.
That said, even though I don't play CoD6, this should not be put into action. It's just the principle, and more might follow. Someone send him threats in the mail.

Whatever is left of IW is barely going to be worth keeping in activison eyes they won't last much longer.

Modern Warfare 2 was the problem-child of all of the recent troubles. The first Modern Warfare wasn't 'great-great' but it was 20x better than the second game. Especially since Infinity Ward, the original creators of the series, lost it to Activision, their fucking publisher. Now CoD is going to be a whorehouse of the most willing developers.
This monthly fee stuff is just more shit Kotick's hiding in our game sandwhiches, claiming that it'll make them better; we all know the truth when the sandwhich in comparsion tastes horrible and we're suddenly charged extra for all the extra condiments.
Hooray random analogies. v:v:v
and that he thinks "audiences are clamoring for it."
Yes! I've been waiting to pay a subscription to play a game on top of the subscription I already pay to play online! Finally! Fuck!
i dont think my mom will be willing to pay for this :((((...........

I didn't mind the devil because he is not oft-used and doesn't even exist. It's not about how 'extreme' the comparisons are; it's about how cliched and lame they are.
I guess my standards are higher for genius beyond being a glorified ideas guy.
So, what is this? You have to pay to play MP? Wouldn't that breach something with Microsoft?
Black Ops will probably be the last CoD game I buy

The sad part is, this will sell like free candy.
