I got stuck to the point of giving up on this when it first came out. I actually just stopped playing video games for a few years. Then I played it years later (after not playing video games for like three years) and it was piss easy. Not really sure what happened there. Most people who found it hard would probably feel the same way, I think.
Step 1: Find hard to fight ghost Step 2: Pull on him till he drops mini mushroom Step 3: Consume Step 4: maaario mario maaario mario mario maaario
This game was soooo good. Play from 9 till 1 on a weekend and then be too scared to open the closet to get my pyjamas was fun... :D [editline]27th March 2011[/editline]
I got stuck to the point of giving up on this when it first came out. One of the first games I played with dynamic lighting.
This game was a very large chunk of my childhood. Why I still don't have it, I do not know. At least I stiff have Metroid, though.
Mega64 did a parody of it. Fairly accurate.
Oh wow Derrick looked completely different and fatter
Awesome game, got it with the Gcube on launch day. Too bad I don't own it anymore.
Make the remake the version from europe which has a more difficult Hidden Mansion, and im buying it.
I remember pausing while I was sucking up a ghost, only to be greeted with this in the pause screen. It freaked the crap out of me, I thought my game was possessed.
I loved this game, I got to redo it soon.
It's a shame Ninty kinda gave up on New Play Control. I would love Luigis Mansions and Sunshine on Wii.
I feel confident in saying Gamecube had some of the best games made by Nintendo. Luigi's Mansion Super Mario Sunshine (I love sunshine to this day, I don't get why everyone hates it so much) Wind Waker (My god, probably my favorite 3-D Zelda title) Mario Kart Double Dash (The Cooperative Mode was a blast: it's a shame that it wasn't in Mario Kart Wii) Then you're not counting games made by third parties like the Metroid Prime series. Gamecube will always have a special place in my heart because of the Resident Evil Remake.

Got up to the final fight against
Bowser/King Boo
at the end on Hidden Mansion but then I wanted to see the ending again so I went in to the regular mansion (the fight was too hard in the Hidden Mansion apparently) on the same save and accidentally saved over my file so I could not retry on Hidden sometime later and therefore I never got to know if you unlocked anything special from doing that.

I love taking pictures of mirrors. If you haven't done that in Luigi's Mansion then do it now.

Fuck who would have known for a 10 year old game right? No seriously whats the point in the spoiler, if a person hasent played luigis mansion yet thats their own fault. And no i think the hidden mansion didnt change anything in-game or after the game was completed in the US and Japanese versions.
Luigi's Mansion was fucking incredible moar
Does anybody remember that there were 2 doors in the game which couldn't be opened and had chains around it (I think)? Does anybody have a video if you could open the doors or not? Also, wasn't there a thing where if you beat the game a certain amount of times, you would finally get something? I haven't played this game in years, I want to know!

I remember on my first play through when the power in the mansion went out. Scared the shit out of me when I was little. Amazing game.
The fight with the giant Boo was real fucking bullshitty when you get down to the last 2 or so they better not do that again ever

Actually went back and replayed it a couple months ago since I got Luigi's whistle stuck in my head somehow.
When I first got a Gamecube, my first two games were Smash Bros. Melee and this. I never needed another one.
The Butler Ghost scared me the most. Especially when you set his ass on fire, and he starts running from room to room screaming. Also; Shy Guy Face!
The Butler Ghost scared me the most. Especially when you set his ass on fire, and he starts running from room to room screaming.
alright let's go down the boring old hallwOHGOD FLOATING CANDLES SHIT
For me, the baby ghost was the creepiest. 'oh look it's so tiny and aslee-OH GOD IT SHRUNK ME'
Press B to Mario
They got this at the dental place I go to. I play it every time I go there.
I borrowed this once to play on wii. It was so hard because I had no gamecube memory card. I remember getting about halfway through, then dying at a boss and being all "dramatic NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
