guessing its false positives on the virus that security essentials is reporting? but dang, glad this has came out now
AVG is reporting it as a Trojan Horse/back door. Interestingly enough Avast isn't yelling about it. Also http://www.sonicretro.org/2012/03/guest-editorial-in-which-i-rain-on-the-sonic-2-hd-parade/

Also http://www.sonicretro.org/2012/03/guest-editorial-in-which-i-rain-on-the-sonic-2-hd-parade/
So a single programmer decided to use his position in the development team of Sonic 2 HD, to not only slack off but put in a bunch of unnecessary shit and then add DRM and anti-editing to a demo that is a remake of something they don't even legally own, all against the wishes of the rest of the team. They should drop that fucker and ask Taxman for engine/coding help.
Exactly. Still played it though, nice art.
My little brother wanted to get into sonic so we spent some time playing Sonic generations. Aced almost all the regular levels on classic and modern.
A list of upcoming XBLA games was leaked yesterday and 2 games on it were recently announced. I bring this up only because Sonic Adventure 2 is on that list. Can't find where i originally saw this article but here it is on another site:
http://www.sonicstadium.org/2012/04/rumour-sonic-adventure-2-coming-to-xbox-live-arcade/
This is pretty tight.

-snip- Late, was just the video above.

For playing Sonic 06 hes really good.

This same guy seems to have an interest in modding the recent Sonic games. He's switched the physics from Generations into Unleashed, made a playable Super Sonic in Unleashed, and is even modifying 06 to have better physics and beta animations. Videos of 'em are on his channel.
Good. Now somebody make Knuckles playable in get to the goal-esque levels, but with good gliding. That is something LONG overdue.

Oh god. I shutter whenever I think of the concept of Shadow the Hedgehog.
Oh god. I shutter whenever I think of the concept of Shadow the Hedgehog.
Why? (and I think you mean "shudder")
Why? (and I think you mean "shudder")
Mainly because, fact aside its a bad game, it was solely created to bring back a popular character. But feel free to ignore me, I'm still just butthurt about E-102 never returning, despite the numerous time paradoxes and such. And thanks for that, I am not the best speller.
Mainly because, fact aside its a bad game,
Well, I'm sorry you feel that way, it is one of my favorite games of all time, personally.
Well, I'm sorry you feel that way, it is one of my favorite games of all time, personally.
To be fair, I never actually tried it outside of a trial at my friend's house, so I can't judge fairly. But if you like it, then all the more to you.

But I agree with you about no E-102 since Sonic Battle
To be fair, I never actually tried it outside of a trial at my friend's house, so I can't judge fairly. But if you like it, then all the more to you.
It's a love-it-or-hate-it type of game, really. The levels themselves are usually not half-bad at all, and it's not like the physics are fubar'd. The weapon lock-on system for guns can be annoying since it prioritizes closer targets over anything else, but it can be worked with; same with the wonky vehicles. My problem was the objectives, story, and uselessness of the multiple paths. It's not fun being forced to kill every single one of a certain enemy type in a level and having to backtrack if there's some hidden one you didn't see, and some levels were sadistically difficult with their goals for no real reason. The story comes off as canned by trying to be dark with not-dark cartoony characters, and the reveals are kind of.. Stupid to me. ([sp]Shadow is an artificial hedgehog made from the blood of aliens. Seriously?[/sp]) And while I liked seeing different sides of a story with the Hero and Dark system in Sonic Adventure 2, having eight different endings or so and then having only one true ending that makes a single real ending canon in the game itself sort of invalidates the point of choosing your own path. It's not a great game by far, more like a flawed one, but it's not terrible to me at least. Of course, opinions are opinions. v:v:v
The guns work great dispite not fitting with sonic, alot of levels were "KILL THIS EXACT NUMBER OF DUDES!", Rails work fantastic, Characters are annoying.
I remember that after watching the trailers I was really excited, it promised a really good game, with guns, combos, teleportation, vehicles and shadow not doing what others told him to do. (he was meant to do it his way) But then the actual game had all the sonic characters (with their usual cartoony/innocent personalities) telling you WHAT TO DO. I expected the game to be somewhat like Batman Arkham Assylum/City, you know, like a more serious approach on a character like Shadow. The gameplay wasn't that bad though, but having to play the first map like 300 times to get 100% is just sick.
