The Steam version is not the 2004 PC port. It's regular Sonic Adventure, no DX, and it's a really shoddy port, with a config tool that doesn't work, no widescreen support, limited resolution support, and no normal PC options like AA, AF, and V-Sync. It's a port of the Xbox 360 port of Sonic Adventure.
EDIT: Oh, and no support for non-Xbox 360 controllers.

Plus no Game Gear games, and I dunno if it lacks Mission Mode or not but I wouldn't be surprised. It doesn't even have its own exclusives, they just really badly ported the XBL port. Here's hoping they learned their lesson for the SA2 port.

The same guy made 'Christmas With Sonic' and the machinima where Sonic gets warped into Skyrim, mostly voicing Sonic himself I think. Probably why he is so anal about the voice actors and why his own voice is all over the place. I also agree with him on the Modern Sonic stuff in Generations - didn't expect much of it coming in and to be dazzled by the Classic, ultimately preferred the Modern over Classic because it's actually skill-based platforming. Story was an odd thing to bitch about, but I can understand where he's coming from since they've shoved all this story focus down our throats and then suddenly went simple again (along with a lot of missed opportunities), but I really don't mind since it's - like the classic games - almost entirely for gameplay, not plot.
And he didn't realize the fact that you CAN boost through almost the entire Modern set of levels, but you actually have to use it intelligently and have an incentive to get good at the game to use a constant boost without missing a beat, rather than just holding down boost and dodging things with the whole game designed around it. Literally a perfect method of using the Boost factor as an attribute of 'going fast', but making the player want to master the game if they want to perfect its usage for time trials or such.
Dunno if I can agree with the rest of his things, but meh. Opinions are opinions.
