It has the highest Population by far, you can see how devloped it is in the Region view

Oh and no cheats where used, apart from those Air scrubbing buildings.
I'm happy with my city, suburbs for lyfe.
Can't you like, eliminate people from dropbox until they stop dicking around?
You can do that.
Or we can do something like pass the city around so that way only one person is fucking with it (and they can edit all the cities so we can make one huge region that just works)
fuck any way to make dropbox download files faster? 9 files remaining at 18 kb/s 26 mins remaining :suicide:
We also need to plan out a Highway system.
Because it was borked last time round because we didn't plan it out.
I think it just had to do with the mass amounts of people creating new cities at once, It looks fine now.
Yea, if any plugins should stay, the air purification plant should stay.
That thing is overpowered, but very useful.
people are uploading to dropbox faster than it can dowload

It's pretty. I like it.
If you're scrubbing the air, why bother with solar and wind power? Or does airscrubbing require money?
You might want to check the garbage graph and add a new W->E plant, it looks like there's a pile next to the Minor League Stadium.

Cheating in SimCity 4 is like a dumpstat in an RPG.
Like, if you don't have expend the effort to reduce pollution or get cash, everything else becomes that much easier. All of the issues need to exist in order to present a challenging game.
From my point of view, it makes it a little unbalanced.
Heh, just accepted the dropbox invite. It's downloading very slowly. Read over the last few pages, so are we gonna start over and am I wasting my time downloading all this crap, or is it going to stay?
It's staying. No one's else cities are being destroyed and we are keeping the mods we have. So it's looking up. I hope.
Fucking christ, trying to set up a port is a bitch.
I literally have two docks not connected together because the middle peice is like 'LOLNOPENOTGONNALETYA'
I've had to rebuild my island 3 times, then rebuild the city on the island 3 times also. Done until this gets less messed up.

Usually if it keeps deleting it it means that the cell is conflicting with one someone already has. Try waiting until it conflicts again, then deleting the cell, then throwing your city back in. Usually it works.
Guys seriously, we need to start planning a highway.

Alright, hold on.
I know how we can fix this.
No restarting, people who have cities can keep the regions but what if we broke up the region map and gave those who still don't have a spot to claim a spot.
And then put it on the front page or send it out with every invite.
The highway will work itself out on it's own.
No, no it won't. So far there are only two cities with highways...That lead to nowhere.
Highways are really something you wanna preplan because they take up alot of space and can because the way SimCity works, you can't build under them.
Apparently South Seaside got replaced with New New York and that was the place where I was going to place landfills, more industry, and even my waterplants, but nope some asshole took it.

Sorry, there was nothing there but an empty spot when I hopped on, go ahead and reclaim it.
If someone claims a spot over yours its usually an accident.

Can we work out a system on here?
It has mostly settled down now, Picking cities shouldn't be a problem. Also, Furbrain or Crisis, can one of you guys post that dock mod you use so you can have piers and walls n such on your beaches?
Well I figured out why the guy next door didn't connect my highway...His power plant was in the way.

Yeah well tell him to bulldoze that shit

I have around 150K residential, and 150k commercial with some high tech too.
Yeah well tell him to bulldoze that shit

I did more than that, I bulldozed it for him and connected it to his residential section.
Jordguitar, I've whipped up some cities to further test my conclusions and put my method to the test.
In the first city here, Penoit, I've zoned for a few high-rises. Before implementing residential growth, I waited for an upswing in commercial demand. Then I zoned commercial around the planned residential area like so:

Despite a total lack of mass transit, approximately 1000 cars are pursuing jobs entirely within 32 tiles of that apartment. The increase in traffic is substantial but not nearly enough to warrant instant abandonment.

Here, also in Penoit, is another apartment. It had some abandonment issues as soon it was built and was in a perpetual state of death. After rezoning the immediate area with commercial, I realized it would be too slow to grow and insufficient for just that building, even. So I built a bridge to the other edge of a bay which had mostly commercial over there. The bridge absorbed the brunt of the traffic and provided nearby jobs to the apartment. As the commercial nearby became more developed, the bridge became used less and less. I could demolish the bridge right now if not for the aesthetic bonus to the city.

In another city, Hokepine, high-density areas were zoned in groups from scratch. Abandonment of new hi-rises is almost a sure thing. The area gradually became more and more dilapidated as time went on, and the R:C ration of the immediate area is much too high without the presence of commercial office.
Based on these cities I would say that the key to preventing instant abandonment would be to control and limit the application of high density areas, as well as put in temporary connections to the city at large should local business fail to satisfy residential job demand. I might, however, be drawing the wrong conclusions, so make of it what you will.

the start of the highway system, if your going to build next to these tiles please continue the highway through your city
Sorry again furbrain, but can you please put that dock mod you are using in the Dropbox, or at least post it here?
