Someone might be trying to claim your region.
Or, you know, someone is playing and has the old version of it. [editline]11th March 2012[/editline] Probably someone next to him
Oh, it disappeared again. WHo keeps deleting Port Promise? It is the weird peninsula north of Manette and Dobis City
try going into a different region and then returning to the facepunch region
Is there any way you can restore the plot south of Big Texas to it's original state?
try going into a different region and then returning to the facepunch region
Didn't help. ALso, every time I copy back Port romise, by the time I go into game and find it not there and come back out, it is missing from the folder again.
Here's a project idea, If PoliticalGamer is not already trying to do it: Route a highway north along the east-most edge, then make an artificial island on the border of one of those small lots and shoot a highway bridge over to Metro City.
WHoa, now I saw it added, then it showed it deleted. WHere can I see who does these actions. [editline]11th March 2012[/editline] Port Promise is supposed to be the empty sea tile north of the big city cluster

There's probably a lot colliding with it.
I think the same happens when I launch simcity 4 as well. I tried naming that lot, saving it, deleting it and putting in port promise. We must figure which "New City" lot clashes with it
Restored Matti Hietanen ( web ) and then Deleted Mark Kricsfalusy ( mark-PC ) Try not launching Simcity 4 for a while
Okay. [editline]11th March 2012[/editline] Well, so far it hasn't been deleted again....
Who destroyed my city (woodmount springs)
Well, first I'd import the region into SC4Terraformer, then I'd... terraform, I guess. :v: If you're worried about your cities on the border, don't. SC4Terraformer actually protects any cities that have a mayor so your work is completely fine. I wanted to extend to 32x32 or 16x32 or something similar to that, so is there any preference to what terrain you guys want for the rest of the region?
Is it possible to edit config files after the region's been started or does it require the terraformer?
Who destroyed my city (woodmount springs)
Whereabouts was it?
Is it possible to edit config files after the region's been started or does it require the terraformer?
You can, but you cannot do it where there's already established terrain (i.e. the whole region we already have set up) else it will erase it.
Whereabouts was it?
Center. It had nothing in it because the game decided to shit all over the screen and not want to work.
Hm, Port Promise disappeared again from the folder. What even caused the problem? No one else seemed to have added a different city there. Perhaps I saved at the same time as someone else? [editline]11th March 2012[/editline] I'm thinking of just giving up and starting a new city elsewhere by now.
What the fuck. My City with 550K commercial jobs and 150K residents is now just water. Did someone delete it or screw with it?
Okay. [editline]11th March 2012[/editline] Well, so far it hasn't been deleted again....
There, fixed it. Since it was only water, I searched the smallest "New City (xx)", which was 1kb, and deleted it. [editline]11th March 2012[/editline] So it was a colliding lot
What the fuck. My City with 550K commercial jobs and 150K residents is now just water. Okay it's back, but from a few hours ago. Good enough I guess.
Okay it's back, but from a few hours ago. Good enough I guess.
Just restore the newer from Dropbox site... Well you should probably first wait a while if someone next to you is playing.
who ever made that island to the east of Metro City you can now connect the highway across it by a bridge
My lot (The Oily Gulf) keeps disapearing now.
who ever made that island to the east of Metro City you can now connect the highway across it by a bridge
That would have been me Now to get to work on Metro island
Help me, I put back my backed up Port Promise file, but it still doesn't show up in the region.
I'm having the exact same problem with mine now.
two hours of work lost on Peacedale as now I have the same problems mentioned above just great
From what I can tell there are 4 lots that got taken in by ocean. Yours (although I can still the Peacedale name), mine, and two others that' im not sure were claimed yet.
sVenice North is weird. All I have is Low-Wealth Commercial, High-Wealth Residents, and Dirty Industry and that's it.
If your city keeps disappearing, stop playing and wait a while, then restore it from Dropbox's site and try again. This game was not meant to be multiplayer and it really doesn't help when we have many people playing and overwriting save files.
Yeah, I'm going to have to get to making more land. Would a little ocean, plus a little of region like what we have now, plus some mountains off to the side work?
