I only get Low-wealth office demand := [editline]5th March 2012[/editline] We should create a different region for creative cities who want to do RCT cheats.
Oddly enough, I don't think Sakaryo is the problem here. I noticed that your city and all the cities connected to your city are having the same problem but none of them are directly connected to Sakaryo at all. Feather Sound, which is also located directly adjacent to Sakaryo but not connected to your city has no problems at all with RCI. I think it might have something to do with the corrupted city you're all connected to, but I'm not 100% sure.
thanks a lot you ruined my economy. now i'm as bankrupt as the US.
I'd remember that cities don't have to be connected to change the RCI demand.
I found the plugin which I think was doing that and deleted it now, had no idea it was affecting others otherwise I'd have removed it from the start.
As much as I hate to say it, you're going to either have to find a way to make sure Sakaryo doesn't ruin everyone else's cities or I am going to have to evict you from the region. If that plugin really did cause the RCI to jump about, you might want to go to your cities and save them and see if that fixes it. I'm giving you about an hour. I'm sorry that I have to do this, but I just don't want one city to ruin everyone else's fun.

Dammit you guys, now I have to install SC4 AGAIN. Look what you made me do
Crisis's city wasn't the only one. I copied the region to another name, went and deleted Crisis's cities. Result: High Wealth Office demand grew from full negative to about half negative. Then I went along and deleted a few cities where the amount of offices was way higher than the citizen count. Result: Every Office demand jumped to almost full demand.
This... is going to be a bit of a tough one to fix. Any of you guys have any ideas? Raising commercial office demand globally, maybe? Installing a mod? Setting up another region is out of the question since it'll probably just happen again, so we mind as well solve this problem and be done with it. Also Crisis that ultimatum is off unless evicting you becomes part of a solution. :/ If you guys have any blinding insights how to fix this thing, tell me... Edit: Crisis, could you link me to that aforementioned plugin you think caused the problem?

Crisis, what mod did you download to get such a rich color for your water?
It's jordguitar here from my fucking iPod The region probably needs to be restarted and there should be no mods allowed to prevent rci problems The damage is done and the only way to fix it is by obliterating all the cities to remove all demand
Jesus, you really think it's that bad?
Or we all agree on a mod list We all need the same stuff otherwise things shit themselves [editline]5th March 2012[/editline]
Jesus, you really think it's that bad?
Everyone's demands are fucked already What is a hour or so of rebuilding a city that will actually work properly
I guess you're right, but we need consensus on this. Rate Agree if you want a restart, disagree if you think there's another way of fixing this.
with no demand eventually your cities will contract and you'll lose all your progress anyway.
It was either (or both) Radical Ordinance RCImulti With Radical Ordinance I specifically remember not turning on the increased-demands in game, but I think RCImulti did it automatically.
Ok, here's what I am thinking of doing: I'm going to try to find a mod or something that can increase and decrease demand for all parts of RCI and see if I can correct what has happened.
It's jordguitar here from my fucking iPod The region probably needs to be restarted and there should be no mods allowed to prevent rci problems The damage is done and the only way to fix it is by obliterating all the cities to remove all demand
I don't want to jump straight to something like that just yet and having no mods at all is unnecessary. However, it might be a good idea to only have set mods that everyone must use and nothing else. Chances are, I might enact that and any other sweeping changes when (if?) we switch to FTPBox or an SVN tomorrow or Wednesday.
either everyone has to download that mod or your simsociety is bust.
Crisis, what mod did you download to get such a rich color for your water?
The default water from Olympic Terrain Mod I think.
I had demand changing mods running also I think which means until I get back home to destroy the port and some skyscrapers there will still be a problem I am about to leave the hospital now so I can do it in about 2 hours [editline]5th March 2012[/editline] Let me see the next page damnit
Ok, let's get a vote to make this official: Vote for a region wipe to solve the demand problems Vote for another solution (if you vote this, tell me what your proposed solution is) If the wipe goes through, we are going to enact a policy where you can only use mods that are provided by the Dropbox. If you have a mod that you want in, throw it in the Plugins folder in the Dropbox (be sure that your plugin is in a folder else I will delete it). We will also be switching to an FTPBox or an SVN tomorrow or Wednesday (assuming there are no problems), so we will be switching out of Dropbox. You can still use the Dropbox until we make the switch and I'll import the region over once the switch has been finalized.
I don't really care if we restart, I still can't figure out symbolic linking. :v:
This situation is just going to be headache inducing unless we all agree to limit our mods. Also, wouldn't it be awesome if the region could be saved at the end of the collab and played with in the future? Cities with heavy mods like RCI modifiers and such won't work properly if not everyone has the mods.
i don't know what you lads were even thinking using economic mods.
Cmon people, if you're in here, vote.
This situation is just going to be headache inducing unless we all agree to limit our mods. Also, using those fancy downloadable landmark buildings can skew the commercial demand if you don't have enough to build them.
I don't mind if we reset or not I am still remembering how to build stable cities. I thought we originally agreed that we weren't going to have demand changing mods?
I think we've all agreed that a reset is in order, shall we?
I'm using NAM, SPAM, RTMTV3, Air Purification Plant, WTC towers and Simtropolis Metro Mercy (A huge hospital). [editline]6th March 2012[/editline] Oh and Real High Ways too. [editline]6th March 2012[/editline] But I guess none of those are RCI changing.
I don't know if I was the cause of the whole problem, but I know I was at-least a great part of it. My apologies for using the demand mods, I was merely trying to make the best looking city I could as quickly and easily as possible, had I known the mods would affect the entire region I obviously wouldn't have used them. I've now moved all the plugins minus NAM out of the folder and will be a lot more careful in future. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/Y3FKU.jpg[/img_thumb]
Thanks, Crisis. So, who's going to be doing the reset? I haven't a bloody clue how. [editline]5th March 2012[/editline] ohgodikilledthethread
