A reason to buy crysis 2?
I never thought I would live to see the day.

It isn't standalone?
This looks sick! How many people are working on the project?
This may just be a good reason to grab Crysis 2 when it's on sale.
Honestly, I've wanted to see a game like this for a long time. Are the areas in the game creative fiction or based on real areas?
Any plans on touching up the GUI's art? I mean, functional is functional and that's what's important, but if you'd like I could make some concept HUDs.

[s]Also gameplay on the subreddit, djessey was supposed to link.[/s]
EDIT: I am retarded and did not read above posts
Still, any suggestion for our standalone project?
Is this still slated for the XMas sale?
Also, does Crysis 2 have bows or was it just 3 (judging by the coverart)?
And from the vlogs, are those zombies that say shit like "hey, what was that" and stuff? If so, will those be replaced with groans, etc?

Yes and No and Yes
Dead Matter - The other OTHER zombie survival MMO...
Any chance of getting some simplistic weapons? And what era do you plan on staging it in, the current or Crysis?
MMO? Isn't this singleplayer?

No chance, as of yet. However I've taken the Crysis 1 FY71 and made it a Semi Automatic rifle instead of full auto, the Jackal is also semi instead of full auto. Until I get someone that can model weapons and rig them to Cryteks animations then I'm pretty much screwed until I learn how to do it myself.

Would you guys mind filling this out, it's in regards to the standalone.

Done
I think hand crafted maps should be for multiplayer and procedural maps should be for single player. So that players won't find 8 military bases a few 100 meters away from each other and throw off the whole balance.

There would be math algorithms in place to prevent that, also a decent procedural generation system would take as long as a handcrafted map would to complete. It's one or the other or withdrawing your opinion.
With handcrafted, I am planning on adding sewers, underground locations, caves, ect
It's hard to do that with procedural generation.
Handcrafted seems best then.
You're an amazing human being.
Sounds promising. Like the arcade gameplay of War Z but with actual polish. I hope an inventory is eventually implemented though. Pressing O and U and such to eat and drink is weird imo.

I don't want it to be Arcadish, if your talking about the weapon handling itself then that's a different story. In terms of pacing, I would think its pace is slower then The WarZ but faster then DayZ. Depends what you do.
In talk of the standalone, where should it take place.
I've been narrowing down a few locations to:
Rural Georgia
Rural Alberta
Vancouver Island
Springfield Illinois
Oahu Hawaii
I'm talking geographic data, any cities/towns would be fictional.

Thank fuck - you almost lost my interest then, depending on how you responded to that.

I think rural would work better for a zombie game.

I am torn between rural/island
The island could have very unique features, rural seems bland but challenging and more suiting for sure
