The shift ability sounds kinda retarded. I mean yeah, he's in a coma, the stuff isn't real, so he can do whatever he wants, but still. I'd much rather just be able to get out of the car and get a new one. [editline]02:47PM[/editline] Also, only one city? What the fuck?
Anyone else remember the hidden car in the baseball field ? And how you had to activate a secret parking meter or something to activate the gate ? Good times.
Driver 2 was one of the best games ever. The last one with two different times wasnt bad either, i actually enjoyed it. I bought Driv3r for the xbox when it first came out and the back said 2-player. Had to return it because you couldnt play with anyone else.

One city means they can focus 100% effort into making this city as good as possible. It's better than dividing efforts into 3 or 4 different cities. Some people can't deal with change and progressive change.

Parallel Lines didn't, but that one wasn't really using the Driver formula.
I don't mind one city, but they better have 3 to 4 city worth of area to drive and cover...
Ooohhhh maaaannn... Nostalgia feels good, bro.
not so keen on the car warping, but looking forward to getting back behind the wheel
Hopefully we will be able to get chased by the police :cop:?
Games like this make me wish I owned a PS1 / some form of game console when I was young. I think I bought a Gamecube or something when I was... 11? Maybe.
Until the next Driver, has anyone played that Ubisoft release, WheelMan starring Vin Diesel? It's similar where its not bloody like GTA, but just like Driv3r you carry guns around, and its set in Barcelona, Spain. There also are numerous races and other side missions as its a free roaming environment. You have to work for all three gangs at once, they may not realize it at first, but everyone eventually all comes together at this arena, and after they realize it, your in big trouble. Compared to Driv3r, they eventually have Vin Diesel's lady friend held hostage where its the old get out of the car, and shoot em' up and kill em' all before she's finished. I like how Vin Diesel's character's name purposely sounds too close to GTAIV, but WheelMan is nothing like that.
Just thought I'd post this. Seems that Jericho survived? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQo4L0WPMK0
Yeah, there was a trailer earlier with Jericho in it. Why exactly did he shoot Caine? Also: Jericho = Ugly beyond all reason
Yeah, there was a trailer earlier with Jericho in it. Why exactly did he shoot Caine? Also: Jericho = Ugly beyond all reason
He was angry that Caine made a deal with Vasquez and/or he became hungry for power.
Just realised what this is like (sort of): Life on Mars. Anyway. Where can I order it and get the bonuses from?
Shift from that video looks pretty handy /fun.
The new Driver looks cool but I dunno if it really looks like it has the feel of the originals. Also it would've been cooler IMO to have it set in the 70s, but maybe that would have been a bit too "life on mars". Also I'm buying a PSP tomorrow, and I'm gonna buy Driver 1 from the store! YESSSS!

The 'Shift' thing seems cool, but really sci-fi. But couldn't you just, say, just choose a car really close to Jericho that's past the 18-wheeler instead of trying to drive under it, being hit, then spinning out and failing the chasing? Also, the handling seems kinda wild. Meanwhile, I've been replaying Driv3r's awful Undercover mode, but I can't get past the mission 'The Chase', where you have to chase Calita through Istanbul. It irritates me to no end; one time, I was nearly about to crash into her back bumper when we both took a tight turn and I clipped a brick protruding about one inch from a completely smooth wall and spun out. Calita got away, I failed the mission, and nearly bit through the controller's wire. Is there any advice before my PS2 is reduced to a pile of metal and plastic? [editline]11:20PM[/editline] Awesome, Director Mode's back! Although not the on-foot sections. [editline]11:24PM[/editline] So I guess no gunning sections? I liked the drive-and-gun sections of Parallel Lines, just not the Driv3r 'Let's run into this dangerous building filled with goons and die!'
Driver 1 was amazing on the psone. I remember there's a glitch where when you put the stilts cheat on and ram into a corner of a wall at the docks fast enough you can drive on the outside of the level.

I'm not sure how I did this but when I was young, I would spend hours roleplaying in Driver 2. Awesome game.
I was playing the mission 'Caddy Wagon' in Parallel Lines, where you have to get the transporter. Instead of dying and losing my 13k that I had, I followed the convoy through New York. The police are terrible drivers, I reckoned, so I just drove after them without alerting them. A few minutes later, on a two-lane interstate going the opposite way of the convoy (?), the lead cop car got stuck sideways. The driver eventually destroyed the car from going back and forth and back and forth. The transporter just sat there, with a very battered rear cop car behind it. I just hopped into the transporter, and the game teleported me to the garage. Easy peasy. Also: With my friend the Cerrano Racer, I beat all the Circuit Racetracks on every difficulty. Also also: I can't get a star in one of the island's parks. I believe the island has the La Guardia garage on it. The star is floating in mid-air, and when I tried my pimped-out nitrous-injected motorcycle, I couldn't get high enough. It eventually got destroyed. When I tried my Cerrano Racer or any other car, I either went over or under the star, then flipped over after a few tries. Any suggestions?
