Oh man had some amazing bro-op with /v/ last night, we just drove around killing everything, and everytime we RTB'd or died, we had around 10-20 kills. It was damn fun. We only need to plan things a bit better and get our own squad going, many tried to get to play but got frustrated when they couldnt find combat 'n' shit, the usual beginner stuff.
This looks fun, I've always wanted to play this game before it went F2P. Downloading now.

How you think it would work out in the game? You don't see the nametags of enemies and because there's literally thousands of people now playing, seeing the same person twice regularly would be highly unlikely.

Ha, some of the old players actually [I]complaining[/I] about the flow of new players, especially about how they burn throught equipment. I think its awesome how some battles now turn into brutal war of attrition, it has forced both sides to do really tight-knitted cooperation between different branches. I got some really sweet pictures of last night when I was running around, marking french tanks with smokes for our Stukas to strike. I'll post them today when I get home.

That would be goddamn hilarious, but the rest of the community is just bitter electric old men stuck on the nofun simulators are serious business- attitude. And the CRS is what I hear, kind of upstuck assholes these days, and it would take HUGE amount of support from the community to push throught.

it's for that very specific reason factories can't be damaged by crashing airplanes

You'll find that you really kick ass in one or two specific areas (For me it's infantry combat, and operating the big guns.), but feel free to try the other stuff, I suck nuts with flying, but if friends are forming up, I'll step in for shits and gigs.
As soon as I click play and the game launches, I crash. Anyone else getting this problem, and is there a fix for it?

Just started playing this, just got 5 kills on my second life, think I went pretty well. Need to get the hang of leading targets at range though, some of my shots were pretty shameful.
I just noticed the game got free to play, and about 20k-30k new subbed since, downloading.
If I DO take this up again, does anyone here play as Germany? And maybe they'd be willing to help me learn it?

I certainly have some learning to do. Its similar to arma as in most of the time you do not see what is shooting you.

Honestly i haven't encountered much lag or anything that would point to the netcode. I think its mostly just everyone sticking to the bushes and me ramboing towards tanks...
