The air battles are really damn good in this game. Me and 8 pilots were protecting the city Shilde(?) and circulated above the clouds when suddenly two 109s suddenly popped up. We split up and chase the planes. 4 pilots including me starts to chase one of the 109s. We dropped from ~1500m to 500m, heading towards their base at full speed. It was awesome. The two allied pilots behind me broke off after about a minute, leaving me with my mate with the 109s. We take some shots but miss him. Suddenly we see several other enemy planes showing up. My pilot mate accelerates and freaking crashes midair into an oncoming enemy plane. It ends up with me getting owned by the Germans. The crash.
Infantry is pretty much the least fun. At most there's 20-30 man battles and most of the players are in tanks or anti-tank guns. I have seen enemy infantry twice in two hours.
Actually, if you play this game properly you will get in a good infantry firefight almost daily. Join a clan or whatever it's called and go on forward base raids with them. But i agree that there's too few players.
Were you the Japanese?
British. My brakes didn't work and I didn't know how to turn off the yaw so I decided to just go full throttle and try to see if I could take off.
I gotta get my IL-2 skills back to stand somewhat of a chance versus the 109s.

They got 99 members currently. And they are only one squad. The WW2OL can be safely assumed to have around 1000-2000 players at any given moment, they are just spread across the map. Just finished a sortie, flew around Luxembourg, spotted lone bomber. And succesfully shot it down too. Later on I flew towards another town being under attack, cruisin' around 3-4 kilometers. Shortly after I spotted a plane, swooped down in sanic speed, hit it a bit, and noticed it was a spitfire. I flew away as fast as I could while three other spitfires appeared. Couldn't outrun them so I tried to fightan them, after a while of intense dogfighting I decided to bail while I could. Even thought I was supposedly over friendly territory I was labeled "MIA". Oh well
So, is the F2P transition already in?
Always wanted to try this out, how many players are online at peak time? I don't really want to get into this with only 100-200 people online at peak.
So, is the F2P transition already in?
Not yet, but it sounds like it is on it's way.

Also, found this old gem:

Me and about ten others just went fallschimjäger and dropped into a british controlled town. Sadly I was the only survivor but I did get two kills. Things get much easier once you get the SMG at rank two. This game is very fun once you get into it. Also there can be quite the big battles during the evening. (GMT time at least) With a ton of people assaulting a city while lots of planes battle above you. Edit: Profanwolf below me lacked the skill to survive.
Had some amazing battles now, just paradropped in on st.Hubert and died a horrible horrible death any fallschirmjäger would be proud of :v: was playing with the person above
Just start playing, with that kind of attitude you don't get anywhere.
I don't want to play a dead game, if I play this game I want to play with other people.
If it makes you feel any better... When I was playing as a British Paratrooper, I took part in an FB Raid and ended up landing on a Tiger Tank.

Played around lunch time and the control shifted back and forth

This game is awesome, but the fun is fighting with other people, not looking to kill shit by yourself. Stuka raids are the best.

Any confirmed date of F2P?
Any confirmed date of F2P?
No idea, they tend to work at a snail pace but I'm hoping later this week or soon enough.
maybe your just really fat on one side and your other is skinny as hell idk
i tried putting them on a diet, they won't listen to me
i tried putting them on a diet, they won't listen to me
u gotta use ur rudders doge
