I recommend everyone to atleast try this, I mean this one of a kind MMO. You can be everything you want; Fighter/Ground Attack/Bomber pilot/gunner. Tank commander, or regular infantry. And there's always action around.

Yeah I love it, it's like a huge scaled Red Orchestra 1, but looking at that Heroes and Generals game, it might hurt this even though it just went F2P. Damn I want to make a thread for that game (probably going to wait until I get into the beta atleast) but I don't want to hurt this, damn decisions.
Though I'm surprised there are no articles out about it become F2P either, yeah they need to get on Steam but having no articles doesn't help at all.

There isn't always action around, it needs more. If they lower subscription fees dramatically (1/3rd) would be appropriate, or adopt a F2P model the game could at least dream of going back to its former glory.
Argh, they bumped up the price for subscriptions.

This has been said many times, but I still don't see where the subscription of $15 a month is going. Don't get me wrong, because I enjoy the game, but they could have had an overhaul on the graphics to have the models for vehicles look at least IL-2-level.

The models aren't the problem with the game, poor gameplay choices are.

They are in serious funding problems and they had to recently boot a couple of guys from their team because of it, graphical overhauls are costly things hombre.

Which is why they had that kickstarter before of that other WWII game they were making where all the money was just going to go into better graphics. Shame it didn't get funded and the game didn't look to good either.
If they are having problems I have no idea why they don't get anyone to publish some articles and get the word out, seriously if they don't I can see Heroes and Generals destroying any chance they have bouncing back (that is if Heroes and Generals is good, haven't tried it yet)
I forgot all about Heroes and Generals. The air combat looks a bit arcadey, which is perfect for more experienced pilots in terms of getting kills. All of the casual pilots will think you can outmaneuver a Bf-109 in a P-38 and waste a plane/pilot slot/potential bombs landing.

The reason why they wouldn't get it on steam is probably because Steam takes it's share from the income, which they currently cant afford.

They already switched to the F2P model. All the trial accounts are now Free Play Accounts. Devs still didn't say anything about free player limitations, though.

I plan on being just as good on Heroes and Generals.
Hitler will lose more planes in 30 minutes than he has citizens (I plan on going Axis for this game).

Anyways I was playing again after not playing for a bit and I was watching in the sky over my German town how I thought it was awesome having the British and German planes flying above, then a British plane flew over me and after thinking It was cool I thought "wait, did it just drop wh-" before I could finish I was blown the fuck up :v:

I have seen a few gameplay videos around by people so I don't know maybe, I only learned about it a couple of hours ago and signed up to the beta right then, apparently they gave out 1000 beta keys yesterday so I did it at a bad time :v: more are coming out next week apparently. I was thinking of making a bracket thing in the side of the title called (WWII Online + RO1 + BF combined) to get interest but part of my brain is telling me "no your an idiot don't do that"
Eh someone else should make it, considering I only just started playing WW2 online and haven't played Heroes and Generals yet, it would be better if someone more experience with these games made it

You can't really compare. Heroes and Generals is more arcadey and happens on designated maps. WWII online is more of a simulation and happens on one big open map.
It's like comparing BF3 and Planetside 2 (barring the realistic part). They share a few things, but they're quite different.
Can't wait until plane spawnpoints get strafed to hell by the opposing force.
What *is* this Heroes and Generals game?

haha i am so bad at il-2 but i rule at flying in this game. i love the 109 so much. i think it's probably because most of the players are awful at flying because they're mostly brand new
