What I should have said was this: I've noticed many endgame raiders use addons to help them play. I was wondering if there was some standard (emphasis here) tanking addon "decent" tanks used. Not useless crap, just stuff a "decent" tank is expected to use (threat meter, etc.).
I'm raiding fairly low-difficulty content right now and somehow I imagined that it would get harder as I got into endgame stuff-- not to say I'm having difficulty spamming TS and Cleave right now.
Out of curiosity, does tanking ever get more difficult? I've only ever lost threat to idiot DKs using frost presc and DG.

The blizzards in-game shitmeter only shows if you mouseover, doesn't update unless you re-mouseover, and only shows a %

From what I remember of Omen, it was single target only. Blizz threat meter is fine for that.
All I maybe want is a mod that makes the default Blizzard aggro warnings and floating nameplates border more obvious.
Red on red is really fucking hard to notice when tanking multiple mobs.

I admit that I am a terrible Pally Healer in the ICC Heroics. Everytime I do it I wipe on Forgemaster Garfrost either because A: Nobody removes their debuffs or B: There are too many fucking rocks all clustered together and everyone is constantly out of my LoS and I can't get them back into it fast enough.

On my frost dk I just pull with icy touch-> DnD-> plauge strike-> pestilence-> spam obli for rime procs. Oh and using my rune power for rune strikes.

Tidy Plates v. Threat Plates.
It scale the size of the health bars so you can see who you have / loosing aggro on.
If you start to loose aggro or some1 overaggro a mob, that mobs health plate turns really big so you can see it easy and klick it fast to taunt it with your [U][B]Key bound[/B][/U] taunt.
And ofc omen is good even is sasuke doesn't think so.
What it does is show threat on a mob for the group / raid.
So you can taunt that mob with your[U][B] Key bound[/B][/U] taunts if some1 get too high aggro.

Yeah it's useless but still it is really useful when I am tanking and I pull a ton of mobs and loose aggro on 1 and the health bar gets big so I can click it easier to taunt it :downs:
you shouldnt be losing aggro pinochle, if you are youre a bad tank
It's one thing to loose aggro when you are fighting a boss.
But when I pull packs of mob and some1 start dps on some1 I haven't got much threat on yet, it's not much I can do about it.

My Righteous Defense is a bound macro to use on mouseover.
If some1 get aggro they get a red circle arround their portrait.
Then I just hover over their mug and use it to taunt that mob in question.
Other then that I find tidy plates handy when it happens.
