You know what the problem is with living in game worlds?

Most of them are shitty, because otherwise the game wouldn't be interesting.

Halo? Earth's under attack by the Covenant, most other colonies already wiped out.

Half-Life 2? Earth's been taken over by the Combine, you can't have sex anymore.

Mass Effect? Giant robots are about to kill everyone.

Red Faction Guerilla? Being a miner under an oppressive government, also the risk of being killed by a marauder, and after that, well, let's just say that you should watch the trailer for Red Faction: Armageddon...

Personally, I'd probably go for Star Wars, though that might be pretty shitty as well, depending on the setting.
