So I decided to to take a visit to the Duty Base as a Freedom. I took my sniper with me and a silenced weapon. I managed to sneak into the base at night and even to get into the building I slaughtered everyone inside, my target the leader, wasn't fucking there.
Mission failed.
God I hate my Graphics Card. It just keeps throwing out a ''No Signal'' error. Funny thing is that ATI know of this and are doing JACK SHIT.

I have all of those already with more cool shit like fixed corpse disappearing times, some tweaks for weapon balance (g36 is no longer a jesus christ sniper rifle that is more accurate than a SVD on full auto), tweaked artifact stats so nothing gives just positive effects, fixed upgrading, fixed spawns, more zombies and of course better weapon degrade shit

Clear Sky is the prequel. I played Clear Sky first and it didn't ruin the story for me.
If anything, it might make more sense.

Your refresh rate might be fucked, I had the same error, you need to force 60Hz mode on in the user.itx file to fix it I think.

it's in the freedom base, in one of the empty buildings to the left. it's also a peice of shit in lurk. it's weaker, has less ammo, and sounds somehting like a rubber band.

What? I use bolts all the time. Not so much to detect the presence of anomalies, but rather to find their exact radius. In Clear Sky, they are basically essential for scouting paths through anomaly fields when you hunt artifacts.
Yeah, also in COP you need them really a lot, the anomalies are pretty huge. Navigating with bolts is nice.
Also I just entered X16, and I don't have much ammo left.

When the fuck do I get the perfect detector? I gave them the damn veles detectors, I planted all their equipment, and it's coming up on a week and a half in game time and they still haven't contacted me to go get it. How long does it take?

And for those wondering why my inventory is so heavy. I modified the artifacts to have weight. The Electra Tears are 1.5kg each and the Kolobok's range between 5 and 10kg.
I'm in Pripyat, but the problem is that every time I try to save it crashes. Damnit LURK.
So, I have SoC and am getting Clear Sky. I haven't played the former very much, but I really want to get into it (although the rather dull beginning parts have sort of turned me off unfortunately).
I'm not a fan of shotguns and assault rifles, so is there any really good sniper rifles that I can get near the start of the game?
