I hated it because the renegades in the Swamp got light machine guns and sniper rifles while I had a pistol.
And the weapon ballistics and damage are still horrible, so it took 20 shots to the face to kill one. Medkits in that drain your stamina too, so if you used one while walking...

Also, the spartan mod came with a folder titled "bonus ;)" enclosed was a jpg image of jesus and some word document named "this was your life"

I did eventually fight my way through pripyat though, I fought my way through pripyat without needing the help of your mystery trader. I just couldn't go any farther
