Replace XXXX with Guides section name found in the Desc files, everytime you press F9 in the main menu it will close and go back to game and it will spawn him.

Thankfully, I seem to have enough RAM to counter the out-of-memory crashes that kept me from going through Pripyat last time I played ArsenOL. Awesome.

I'm fooling around with my CoP user.ltx. Can't remember, does SSAO blur make ssao look better or run more efficiently?

What the fuck, whenever I try to load my save game now in Clear Sky, it crashes and tells me that there's no CD inserted.
I bought it on Steam...
I've started playing LURK for the first time. (Properly as my computer was having shit fits)
I started a new game in Cordon, all was going well. Then I went to the Mill near the Railroad Embankment to get a Stash. I'm searching for the thing on the second story near the door when I notice something out of the corner of my eye. Being deadly afraid of this game, mutants and the world as we know it I instantly empty all but two shells from my Chaser shotgun into it. I lead bullet holes and blood smears on the wall. Bloodsucker.
Of course at this point I was screaming "OH SHIT OH SHIT" as loud as I can, I stood there for three minutes waiting for it to come back. It never did.
It occured to me the only way I could continue to roam Cordon without crippling fear would be to kill the damn thing. So I stand at the top of the stairs, nothing. I go down and walk across the courtyard. It runs past me and I blast at it, missing every shot. I run upstairs, he's never exposed his actual form only that invisible shit so I wait for him to come after me, he doesn't. He's a smart one. I go ahead and head back down after building some courage and after a moment he comes straight at me. I blast him with my AK-74U and hit him several times. I back away, he's limping toward me, finally exposed. I reload frantically and empty my last nine rounds into him. He's dead. I was shouting the entire time.
I stood victoriously over the body and considered dragging the corpse back to the village but dark was quickly approaching and I never travel at night so I went back to the village. I used his suckers to buy more ammunition. Shortly after two military guys came and started causing trouble in my neighborhood. But they were quickly dispatched. It must have been a scouting party because six of them followed and there was a small skirmish but we got them all with only one minor injury. I sold their rifles and kept the ammunition for the one good one out of the bunch and stocked it away.
I sit now by the camp fire, writing this, drinking a bottle of vodka and waiting for morning. Today was a bad day. Tomorrow will be better.
Debating on getting SC09
Someone care to point out some pros and cons?
Went out, destroyed the barricade because the soldiers saw me fucking around trying to get that artifact in the Mill (Still can't figure it out) and came to bother me. Saved Fox, killed a flesh or two. Killed a Pesdudog. It just casually walked infront of me, not even by a foot and I shot it before it saw me. Got some more money, killed a handful of bandits. Carried the bandit bodies into a huge pile at the Car Park since they were stacking up, by the time I was done it was starting to rain so I headed back to camp. Now it's pouring.
This is my first time playing without trainers. It's fucking incredible, if a bit terrifying.

Have you even used a rifle before? When I use a rifle I leave my eye about 5-10cm away from the scope and leave both eyes open. If you have ever played Delta Force Land Warrior, that has a good depiction of what it is like to use a scope unlike 99% of FPS games.

If I'm playing plain old vanilla SHoC, would you guys say SC09 would degrade the experience, or would it make it better? I really have no problem with vanilla, but SC09 does look interesting. I won't get it if it includes any gameplay changes, though, at least until I beat SHoC.

It has gameplay changes that make the game easier.
I wouldn't recommend it until you beat SoC.
It isn't that fantastic anyway. I'd rather play LURK than SC09.
