Yeah, i wish i could play but I have this lag problem with it, and no its not my GPU it just randomly gets laggy for 10 minutes, but online it DOES NOT lag at all
Get better RAM. [editline]12:13PM[/editline]
How well would Call of Pripyat run (by run, I mean be able to play it at lowest settings with at least 30-40FPS at all times) with these specs: Pentium 4 3GHZ 1.5gb DDR400 RAM (I know, it'll be a tad stuttery) AGP 8X Radeon HD2600 (runs CoD4 maxed pretty well at 1280x1024)
On the lowest settings I reckon you will be able to pass but I would recommend getting a whole new computer. That beast looks pretty dated.
I joined duty for the low price of 20.000 RU got a free mp7 [editline]07:16PM[/editline] Is it really that time again? [editline]07:20PM[/editline] Suddenly Izloms! Thousands of them! [editline]07:25PM[/editline] and then on the way back to the bar I am greeted by loud screeches fffffffuuuuuu-
I never got this game It was like 'Okay this game runs shittily and all the weapons have a range of three feet and I die from running into invisible walls and have no money and every single thing kills me without me being able to afford health packs, yay' when I installed Clear Sky
I never got this game It was like 'Okay this game runs shittily and all the weapons have a range of three feet and I die from running into invisible walls and have no money and every single thing kills me without me being able to afford health packs, yay' when I installed Clear Sky
ok look at my screenshots and tell me you don't want to play the fuck out of this game
So I'm playing through SHOC with the latest LURK version. I just finished getting the measurements for the scientists at Yantar and I noticed I had 160k in money. Up to this point I have only been using a bandit jacket... What is the best suit to purchase at this point? I'm thinking of either buying a SEVA suit or just pocketing Ghost's rapid-heal armor. e: and I don't care for exoskeletons because you can't sprint

You suck at video games.

[editline]06:20PM[/editline] I was artifact hunting in the dark valley to pass the time. I pull out the bolts and my detector and start searching around, and I suddenly hear this growl. I pass it off as nothing, and keep searching. Then I hear a fucking bloodsucker running at me. I spin in circles looking for it, then see nothing and hear more running at me. Needless to say, I ran all the way back to the Freedom base. :ohdear:
I Have 6 Gigs of RAM...
get more
Ah for fucks sakes, they replaced Ghost's suit with a leather jacket.
Ah for fucks sakes, they replaced everything with a leather jacket.
fixed [editline]08:38PM[/editline] get OL it's better :)
fixed [editline]08:38PM[/editline] get OL it's better :)
OL has no balance.
Is there any trick to finding the Veles detectors for the scientists? Because I've tried everything from looting stashes to killing every person I find and looting their bodies in hopes of finding a veles.... Anywhere in particular I can go?
You guys know there's a disagree rating right I'm hardly "dumb" for liking OL over LURK [editline]08:50PM[/editline]
OL has no balance.
neither does LURK so what's your point
OL has no balance.
But it's fun.
I guess you could say OL has no balance if you could also say LURK is unbalanced
I guess you could say OL has no balance if you could also say LURK is unbalanced
In my experience I would say that's backwards, fighting 4 burers and 6 bloodsuckers and a platoon of exoskeleton monolith simultaneously at the wishgranter isn't my idea of a "fun" time.
This is what Duty does to captured bandits that don't fight in the Arena.
I guess you could say OL has no balance if you could also say LURK is unbalanced
LURK isn't unbalanced; it's realistic.
I created my own balance for OL. Completely redid all outfit stats to make other armor actually useful rather than the SEVA as the all powerful suit. I have balanced all the artifacts for weight and stats, no more +80% BP Cap or being able to carry 100 artifacts, and now you actually have to mix up artifacts to outweigh the negative effects of others. I redid all the accuracy on weapons and changed their penetration properties and range. I also tweaked the vision of stalkers. No longer can a rookie stalker spot you in a bush from 200 yards away. But an Experienced stalker might just headshot you with a sniper.

I just started playing SHOC. I have played it a bit at my friend's house, but do you guys know any secret stashes I can find in the beginning? I already got the Merc Suit in Cordon though. And, should I try messing with the Spestnaz south of Cordon? Last time I did that on my friends profile, this is what happened: As I walked down the street towards Cordon, I noticed movement on the road. I could see three military dudes patrolling the area with my binoculars. I saw that they had AKs, and I needed a good firearm to replace my rusty old shotgun. So, I decided to take them out and grab their loot. I sprint over to a bush near the road with their backs toward me, and I draw my silenced sidearm and pop a magazine and a half on them. Down they went. Collecting their loot, I seemed to have attracted the attention of the rest of the platoon. I ran for my life towards home base (Cordon). Ten Minutes Later... Wolf is dead. My rookie pals are dead. I'm stuck in the attic of a house in Cordon with just a few shots in my pistol and knife (wasn't able to collect AKs with 5.56 rounds whizzing above my head). Spestnaz squad wandering around the camp. And, that lazy hobo Tolik is sleeping.
LURK isn't unbalanced; it's realistic.
because fighting invisible mutants is totally a plausible situation right
Thanks for telling us again.
Good thing we have you here to remind me us of our posts over 4 megathreads ago.
fun vs realism i choose fun no doubt
Good thing we have you here to remind me us of our posts over 4 megathreads ago.
No trouble
Lovely thing about STALKER is it's so easy to mod on the fly. As soon as I see something overpowering or unbalanced I can just pop into the gameplay files and tweak it.
if lurk is so realistic then why doesn't all that radiation caked into the "zone" eventually kill you [editline]09:04PM[/editline] or better yet why doesn't the military just napalm the zone and end the trouble
