won't affect me I quit using LURK
if lurk is so realistic then why doesn't all that radiation caked into the "zone" eventually kill you [editline]09:04PM[/editline] or better yet why doesn't the military just napalm the zone and end the trouble
Military still needs the NPP to function. As far as radiation goes, you haven't been there long enough to be killed by it, although there would be long term side effects by standing next to severely radioactive objects.
It appears that Max shaved. before anyone comments on my weight I just came from freedom base and a controller attacked while I was heading to sell all that shit Max Shaved was one of the unlucky few to die
fixed [editline]08:38PM[/editline] get OL it's better :)
Oh no the game is completely ruined I'm going to go play OL where there is absolutely no challenge within 2 ingame days
um i had my first blowout after the first ingame day and it was pretty challenging
In my experience I would say that's backwards, fighting 4 burers and 6 bloodsuckers and a platoon of exoskeleton monolith simultaneously at the wishgranter isn't my idea of a "fun" time.
I consider that a challenge, but nothing a trainer can't help to fix. For me, I needed to modify LURK in order to suit my needs such as allowing a higher weight limit in order to actually carry more than just 1 gun. OL is a mod where a seasoned stalker can actually have fun, not just try to survive.
um i had my first blowout after the first ingame day and it was pretty challenging
What difficulty?
What difficulty?
hell :smugdog:
"ŁǗŔК is bullshit! The fucking leather jackets and bloodsuckers are garbage! I'll be playing the mod that's actually FUN" "OL is the the most retarded mod I've ever seen! Enjoy your soft ground and clusterfuck of pointless features, I'm going to play something that isn't casual shit." God damn stop shouting. They're two totally different mods that require different playstyles. Stop trying to compare the two.
hell :smugdog:
:frog:
The only thing that annoys me about LURK is the leather jackets.
Is there any trick to finding the Veles detectors for the scientists? Because I've tried everything from looting stashes to killing every person I find and looting their bodies in hopes of finding a veles.... Anywhere in particular I can go?
In Clear Sky I just bought one off of Ashot.
The only thing that annoys me about LURK is the leather jackets.
Yeah, I tried lurk and that's the thing that annoyed me. Is there a fix for this?
I'm not even sure how Holden did it in the first place.
Just came back from Best Buy, bought the Hurt Locker on dvd, decided to check out the PC section for the hell of it. Guess what I saw? 20 copies of SoC all lined up, haven't seen SoC at best buy since 08.
"blah" God damn stop shouting. They're two totally different mods that require different playstyles. Stop trying to compare the two.
Shouting??? And I don't see any problems with the mutants, 2/3rds of a magazine can down a bloodsucker. So far the leather jackets are easily the only thing I can complain about.
I consider that a challenge, but nothing a trainer can't help to fix. OL is a mod where a seasoned stalker can actually have fun, not just try to survive.
It's just that there is a fine line between challenging and grueling, asinine design. e: for instance: I kill the poltergeist at X16 and pass out as usual and before I could even wake up and get my gun out two practically invincible bloodsuckers had already rushed and downed me. That is not a challenge, that is bullshit. I ended up having to use a rather old autosave so I could sit and pass out at a point that was FARTHEST from the monster spawn. That is bullshit and contributed nothing to the gameplay, the story, the immersion, or the challenge. It was a big "fuck-you" from the clearly sadistic, incompetent, or oblivious scripters.
They must be preparing for Call of Pripyat.
Prepare for CoP by killing the Strelok!
because fighting invisible mutants is totally a plausible situation right
In an irradiated disaster zone that seems to have a mind of its own as well as mutating most surrounding animals and humans, yes. That is absolutely realistic based on the setting of the game.
In an irradiated disaster zone that seems to have a mind of its own as well as mutating most surrounding animals and humans, yes. That is absolutely realistic based on the setting of the game.
Why, oh why did you have to do that?
fun vs realism i choose fun no doubt
Fun is subjective. I find realism fun. [editline]10:59PM[/editline]
Why, oh why did you have to do that?
Do what?
Whoever argues for an element of realism, or projected realism, should leave and die in the nearest fire.
In an irradiated disaster zone that seems to have a mind of its own as well as mutating most surrounding animals and humans, yes. That is absolutely realistic based on the setting of the game.
no amount of radiation can give something the ability to bend light around them so even in the setting of the game it isn't plausible
Whoever argues for an element of realism, or projected realism, should leave and die in the nearest fire.
Could you explain that, or should I just start preparing the pyre? [editline]11:03PM[/editline]
no amount of radiation can give something the ability to bend light around them so even in the setting of the game it isn't plausible
No amount of radiation could turn the Zone into what it is in the game. Therefore your argument is invalid.
All this talk about Oblivion Lost, AMK, Complete '09, Super Mod Pack and L.U.R.K.. You S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s are too young to remember Redux. http://z4.invisionfree.com/STALKERRE/index.php?showtopic=527 Play this and your balls might drop.
Could you explain that, or should I just start preparing the pyre? [editline]11:03PM[/editline] No amount of radiation could turn the Zone into what it is in the game. Therefore your argument is invalid.
you just proved that I am right and you are wrong with realism so good job I no longer have to argue with you
I'm not even sure how Holden did it in the first place.
He replaced all the suits in the outfits file with leather jackets and then added the LURK suits in another file.
you just proved that I am right and you are wrong with realism so good job I no longer have to argue with you
Uh, what post are you looking at exactly? I said in the setting of the game, it is realistic. You replied with no radiation could make creatures bend light. I said no amount of radiation in real life could create the Zone. Therefore, in the setting of the game, the Zone exists and there are creatures that bend light.
Could you explain that, or should I just start preparing the pyre?
It's a completely moot point and invariably delves into the abyss of theoretical reasoning of pointless shit, such arguments should only be tolerated if the participants are under the effects of marijuana or alcohol. [editline]04:10AM[/editline] We need more bloodfuckers.
Whats the difference between SMP lite and full?
