I disable if I need the extra FPS.
I'm part graphics whore part FPS whore.
Or is that the same thing?
get over it.
I never notice the "jaggies" when I play games.
Then you my friend are either retarded, have serious eye problems, you play the game at an incredibly high resolution or it is automatically forced on by your videocard drivers.

Same here. I like to play with the highest settings but still maintain a playable framerate. Although AA only knocks off about 3fps so it doesn't really matter. 16xAF has about a 1-2fps hit.
Quick question--can I run Complete 2009? Thinking about trying it, since it's probably the closest to Vanilla I'll ever actually play all the way through.
Specs:
Intel C2D 1.8GHz
nVidia 9600GT 512MB
3GB RAM (lol)
at 1024x768 res.
I can run LURK maxed just fine, so...
Also, that motion blur C2009 has is ugly as fuck, blurs everything, even your own guns.

Motion blur is part of Vanilla. No mods add it, it is already there and is disabled by default.
I have the same videocard as you so I believe you can play any mod. I am currently using all the large texture packs available for STALKER and I can play just fine. 1024x768 is quite a low resolution which would give you rather high framerates. Your processor is not very powerful and could be a bottleneck. I have an E8200 which is rated at 2.66GHz and with the 9600GT I can get around 70-80 fps at 1024x768.
I am pretty sure you would be just fine.

I'd pay for a mod that has those. First, you'd have to make normal bandages suck. Then make:
Red stop bleeding very well (vanilla or better)
Orange heals burn damage
Yellow increases radiation protection temporarily (could be soaked in anti-rad medication)
Green heals chemical damage, like that from a Fruit Punch anomaly
Blue heals eletric damage (muscle relaxants to cure residual muscle spams)
Indigo heals bullet damage
Purple heals either rupture or explosion or increases telepathy.

Cool. And yeah, I know the mblur is part of the engine. Doesn't make it suck any less. C2009 enables it, I believe. And yes, my proc does suck quite a bit. I actually have a still-boxed Core 2 Quad 2.3GHz sitting on my desk, but it's NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MY BOARD FUCK FUCK FUCK so I have to get a new board before I can upgrade. :sigh:
That is possible to make. Although I can't be fucked to do it. Anyway by default the normal bandages have 100% stop bleeding.

No. Would kill the quickbandage button, and clutter my inventory besides. Also, I don't think the engine differentiates between different types of damage.
C2009 enables it, I believe.
Incorrect. You have to physically add "-mblur" to your launch parameter to enable it. Without it you cannot use it at all. It is disabled by default because it is buggy and no shader mods seemed to have improved it at all.

It would have to be a scripted hook.
I installed OL 2009
A little story tiem naow
Wolf gave me a mission, kill the bandits at the factory. I grabbed my TT-33 and Sawn-off shotgun he gave me and ran there. The bandits were no match for me, killed all of them without a scratch in 2 minutes. After looting everyone I ran back to Wolf to complete the mission. He gave me grenades and a kewl pistol. I proceeded to the trader, who for some unknown reason talks russian to me, altought he knows I speak english. I sell all my stuff and notice that I can afford a AK74 and a PSO-1 scope :3:
I buy that mothafucka and get out of the bunker. I grab 240 pieces of 5.45x39 bullets from a conveniently box in the middle of the camp, then climb on a roof and grab the merc suit. It had been a hour since I woke up and I already got some serious equipment.
I started walking towards the military base, they met the bad end of my brand new AK. They were no match for me. I looted every soldier, came up with 15 AKs of different variants. I proceeded to the traider and sold them.
Then the Trader whispered to me:
"WELCOME TO THE SUPERFUN ULTRAHAPPY BRIGHT MANMADE PLAYPEN  :buddy:"
All of that in 30 mins.
What the duck? Overpowered LOL 2009? This is fucking ridicilous,
Also I'm 2000 RU away from F2000
Before you leave the trader's den you can ask to switch to the monolith faction for free, get all of the shit (armor + fn2000), and then pay 10k to switch back to the loners.

And I find that it IS the arcade version of STALKER [for casuals] in comparison to LURK.

your standards are too high then, not everyone needs to have perfectly anti-aliased images to make their day go by
in fact I usually do have AA onto at least 2x but the xray engine doesn't like my pc at all

better computer, ok I'll pay even more than $1,200 dollars for one considering by your standards that isn't good enough
With Clear Sky at max settings I had around 20 fps, I get higher than that in Crysis WITH anti-aliasing (original crysis not warhead because that one was optimized)
regedit, and delete all Clear Sky Registry files. It is a last resort solution, like napalming the entire city in 28 weeks later.
If even that doesn't work, you're fucked.

Btw anti-aliasing helps you to aim accurately much more far distances
Downloading Complete 2009 now. The features look good--sleeping bags, repair services etc. But does it add cut mutants?

It adds nothing. Besides sleeping bags and repairing items which are part of every other overhaul mod.
But that would make the rupture, impact, and bulletproof artifacts moot. I think it has to differentiate different types of damage.
I think it only takes damage type in account when removing health. It can't know how much health was lost by each time of damage.
