Oh by the way. Clear Sky is the least optimised STALKER game.
Thanks, captain obvious!
Hasn't that image been posted every two pages or something?
Kingo, least optimized my ass. I can run CS vanilla in the swamps on DX10, with the god rays and shit on better than SHoC at like, the Garbage or Cordon, or even Dark Valley on Full Dynamic.
X-Ray at the CS point would be 2x better than the version of XR in SHoC.
I downloaded an fps optimization fix or whatever it was called and I forced multithreading, now I get a whopping 34 fps!
gg
Ditto
Just keep searching for the Clear Sky, then DELETE EVERYTHING
Ah, thanks for that, it finally started working.

I cannot answer that. From what I have seen, It has much poorer performance than the rest of the STALKER games. Keep in mind that SoC doesn't have DX10. But CoP runs MUCH faster than CS.

It already has multithreading. :|

Glad that I could help
Downloading Complete 2009 now. The features look good--sleeping bags, repair services etc. But does it add cut mutants?
No, it does not. It only re-textures a lot of the player models and nearly all the weapon models. Oh, and a proper weather system, plus random encounters.

Well, thats arguable. My old video card liked CS on DX10 more than it did SHoC on DX9.
That doesn't sound right at all. :raise:
Let me reword it. When you take damage, the engine finds what damaged the player, and takes in account armor and artifact protection, then reduce the correct ammount of health.
But, if it were to be bandages for various damage types, it'd have to heal a specific damage type, something the engine can't do because of the damage the player has taken, the engine does not know what kind is what part of the health that was lost. For example, you are damaged by an electro with a highly protected suit, and take 20% of damage. Then you are shot, and lose 40% of your health. You would take a bandage for healing electricity but the engine couldn't return that 20% health you lost. It would only account the 60% you lost in total.

Oh god dis shit is going too fast
^ I would have to agree with that.

Yeah, now that you put it that way, it makes sense.
By the way, that horrorbloodsucker picture is the least of the freaky things you get to see in the zone.
It simply tries too much, and has no psychological effects.
But the horrordog in other hand...

Also DX10 would improve performance of SSAO and Sun shafts.

Thanks for pointing it out, wouldn't have noticed.
I think its time for me to sleep

I can't see much. Maybe post pictures of day time?
Then you my friend are either retarded, have serious eye problems, you play the game at an incredibly high resolution or it is automatically forced on by your videocard drivers.
[editline]11:05AM[/editline]
Same here. I like to play with the highest settings but still maintain a playable framerate. Although AA only knocks off about 3fps so it doesn't really matter. 16xAF has about a 1-2fps hit.
A lot of us just play and don't sit back and look at it.
i just found the crow-shooting game in the bandit base
while i was there, i also did some missions for yoga so i could get a seva suit
A lot of us just play and don't sit back and look at it.
I hope you realise you sound like an idiot. Why else do people make all these graphics overhauls and texture packs if nobody was meant to look at it :colbert:

because for every 10 normal people who play games; there's 15 graphics whores/nerds who seriously care

so because I don't notice jaggies when I play my games, I am retarded? shut the fuck up you idiot, I'm not an anal bastard like you who is constantly looking at edges to see if they are jagged.
because for every 10 normal people who play games; there's 15 graphics whores/nerds who seriously care
Then to prove your point, delete your textures and shader folders. Otherwise you would be contradicting yourself.

You obviously have poor observation skills. Rage some more.
I wear reading glasses.
and you are obviously a graphics whore.

Oh yes because if someone likes to turn up the eye-candy in their games that obviously makes them a graphics whore/nerd.
Not all of us are poorfags who can't afford a decent PC.

considering that I am playing vanilla clear sky, if I delete my textures and shaders folders; nothing will really change as they will be redownloaded
