Call of Pripyat is Directx 11?
How does it look compared to Clear Sky or even Crysis on DX 11 capable cards?
Do you get to choose what faction you join?

As far as I know the most noticable thing is hardware tessalation. Checkout this site.
Meh, my CoP freezes everytime I save and go to menu. Not so fun. And it crashes a lot.
Bah, in vanilla SoC, is there some kind of weight increase or bag without a mod? Seriously, 50 isn't nearly enough.
I think you can only mod it. There's loads of weight limit increasing mods.
OR you can cheat engine it I think.
I had no problems with it.
Sure it isn't your OS just giving you grief?

They are all trolling me. In group chat they are continually swearing at me and it is quite funny actually.
You don't know what a troll is, do you? I'm not sure what went on in the chat so I can't comment, but what I see here is a argument, not trolling.

This just in, Bioware and GSC made a storyline crossover between Mass Effect and STALKER.
Featuring Sidorovich as a romantic interest.

It wasn't in that chat, it was in a multi user chat initiated by 1/4 in hopes to make me piss off kingo. Of course I invited friends and we made it a party.
Fuck, I downloaded the wrong patch for Shoc. Instead of getting the world wide 1.0004patch, I got the USA 1.0004 patch (1.0004 because I got the 1.0004 Shoc 2009 mod) and now I'm pissed.
Anyway, I think I should get an award for, 'rocket jumping', CHarged, then jumped those Monolith rocket men. To bad they didnt have ammo. :saddowns:
Joining the Bandits was a real bad idea.
How do you change the text from Russian to English for the Shadow of Chernobyl?
???
Awesome Stalker! It has returned!
Not quite yet, but he is returning. Doing a few short comics about Duty/Freedom to get back into comic making.
We should have a few die-hard fanatics of each faction put together some obviously fanatic/propaganda-esque descriptions of them.
So I've had Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Sky since the last day of the Steam sale, one of the best buys of my life. Regrettably, due to my business and a strange habit of leaving the game and never coming back when I take breaks, I've gotten absolutely nowhere in SoC and haven't even started up CS.
Just today, I finally made some headway in SoC. I got up to the military assault on Mole's men at Agropom, and he led me down to go to what I assume once were sewers. During the battle I had picked up an AK-74 and a large amount of ammunition for it, but my MP5 was doing just fine. I had a short firefight with the bandits at the entrance, prolonged by the darkness because there was of course just one bandit who was hiding around corners and didn't have a flashlight on his head. After that I went deeper in, as it was really the only way to go (Although I had no idea what I was trying to find or do down there; I assume it was to find Strelok's stash). I went down a set of rusted, iron spiral stairs. What I found below was horrifying.
At the bottom was a curved room which, as my map told me, had a stash in it. It was filled with broken, unidentifiable machines, but the setting was not what disturbed me, but the sound. I have a surround-sound headset, and I could hear every drip of water in the direction it came from... and as soon as I step foot into the room I heard a growl at the other end. I instantly froze in terror. Never had I hear such a growl, and what's more I couldn't see more than 3 feet in front of my face. The first growl was one more of alertness, while the second was one of aggression. Once the noises stopped, I went about my business and assumed it was a scripted event with a monster in the other room. However, at this point I equipped my newly-procured AK-74 for the extra firepower.
I went nearly to the end of the room and the noises started again. I had been searching for the stash, and had slipped off of the walkway it was supposed to be on and accidentally kept going forward. My search along with the revival of the growling brought me back to the entrance, and I went back up the ramp to the walkway lining some piping. I found the stash soon after, a box hidden between concrete and a bent fence. As I had found it, however, I began to panic when I heard the noises louder than ever in my front. I looked up and aimed down my sights towards the end of the walkway, and realized the continuous roaring was running beside me! The fell beast causing the racket was taking a curved path around the room, trying to flank around behind me. It finally stopped at the end of the walkway formerly behind me, and as such I aimed back there.
All emotions I had thus far instantly converted to confusion at that moment; there was nothing there. I began to realize I heard movement, and something was off about the wall, almost as if... As if something refracting the light was moving towards me. I gasped as I came to the realization that two gleaming red eyes were coming my way and raised my weapon, firing my rifle without pause. I slipped off of the walkway and never stopped assaulting the thing, I think reloading twice during the attack.
I had not escaped unscathed; the thing had scratched me several times, and I was on the verge of death. I glanced at the corpse while I reloaded, and mere seconds after I had dispatched this monster I heard movement behind me. Fearful, I raised my weapon and swung around; however, I could only turn halfway before I had died.
A bandit shot me in the back.
