Left 4 Dead 2, because I originally thought it would be a completely re-skinned L4D1 with new maps and a couple new infected. It's now my favorite game ever.
I don't want to hate any game cause I'm not a close minded faggot.
Jeez man, give closed-mindedness a chance.
DoW2
Modern Warfare 2 because so much work put into it. Hey guys, don't blame the game, blame the publisher It's not the guys who program and make the game do this evil stuff with the pricing etc. It's the publisher.
EVO: Search for Eden (SNES) -It's a sidescroller, and I hate sidescrollers. -You play as cartoon-ish dinosaurs, which sounds pretty lame -It is probably my favorite SNES game ever
EVO is like a 2D version of Spore's creature stage, only better. Much better. Also, unlike Spore, the creatures seem more like real animals and less like piles of polka dots and googly eyes
Super Monkey Ball (the original) That game was awesome.
I usually tend to hate games when friends constantly talk about that game. It annoys me. And it draws me away from ever playing that game with them or playing the game in general because they make it seem like the ultimate badass game when it's just totally overrated(Modern Warfare). Anyway, my answer would be Crackdown.
Modern warfare 2. I suck at the multiplayer but something keeps drawing me back. (And by suck I really do mean suck. I get happy if I get an UAV using hardline :geno:)
I've never wanted to hate a game. When I buy a game I hope it will be good.
Spore. Definitely not what it said it would be, but I still enjoyed it. Makes me feel like I'm playing the games I played when I was really young. All the fun and none of the difficulty. Seriously I can wipe out a species' homeplanet in 10 minutes with some circle-strafing and missiles what the fuck? It's an older 2D Spore and yet it's still much better.
Oh and Grand Theft Auto IV made me at first not want it because it seemed so dull with the slower more realistic cars. But I fucking loved it and I have probably played it more than any previous GTA game, now I even have it on the PC (so I can play through it again) :keke:
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I'm not usually into the swords and fantasy stuff and on top of that I didn't like Morrowind at all. Five minutes into the game is all it took before I got hooked.
STALKER Clear sky.
BloodRayne. It was a mediocre game that only got the attention because of the hot protagonist. I loved it.
Diablo 2, at first I thought it was some old crap or some lame shit cause it only uses sword, shield, bow and arrow and shit like that, but when my friend encourage me to play it, I got addicted as hell. Low requirement plus with addictive gameplay. Never judge a book by its cover. :)
Sonic 360.
Castlevania Symphony of the Night for PSX. I did not read up about the game and thought it would be a 3D game like the N64 so I didn't bother. Boy was I wrong!
Fucking VINTAGE game. One of the best side-scroller games of all time. Hell, a mint copy goes for $80 and up these days.
Gmod. I seriously kept thinking it was a fucking awful mod/game. Yet it kept me amused for fucking 468 hours holy tits. It still amuses me nowadays to play online with friends.
Dragon Age: Origins. Everyone said how awesome the game is so of course i had to do my best to hate and bash it any way i can. But as i played it for hours i too grew to love the game dearly.
Viva Pinata, I went in to playing it sure I was going to hate it with a passion. I still play it today :|
Oh fuck, I remember trying the demo. I thought it was meant to be a young girl's game, and I was bored of playing H3 for a few hours. It was one of the most calming games I have ever played.
Half Life: Blue shift. Was pretty fun.
GTA IV. I expected it to be too "gangsta", and the sort of games kids would cum over just because their parents didn't want them playing it, but it was fucking amazing.
Modern Warfare 2. I thought it was going to be some awful, mainstream, tacticool bullshit but the multiplayer is genuinely fun (I was right about the campaign though.)
Modern warfare 2 and, occasionally, Pokemon blue. It was the first game i got to my game boy colour, and it's pretty damn to play when you have to drive for a long time...
GTA4. All the hype and the average gameplay that was revealed to me by a visit to a friend's house really made me want to hate it, but for some reason it grew on me. Don't get me wrong, GTA4 still isn't the miracle people make it out to be but it's a vast improvement on SA.
Left 4 Dead 2, due to the fact that I thought it should all have been one big update for L4D1 OR part of the game in the first place. Playing the demo made me want it regardless.
Also, Devastation, I played it, loved it, recently read some reviews which said that it's mediocre/crap.
Half Life 2 - Episode 1 I hated that game mainly because of its length and boringness. But I love it.
