Is there any other place to get it off the internet as a download instead of steam? I want to get the game but the $20 price increase for Universe at War seems pretty unnecessary.

In fact, most OTHER new games are $60 when they started.

I hope they don't release anything exclusively on consoles for us PC gamers to miss out on

Because you know that's how things are going to work. Also enjoy paying for those extra maps when they are more than likely going to be released free at a later date.

It's not.
But it gives the impression they are. If you asked Rebellion, they'd say it's free or "discounted" as you're getting a steelbook too.
Guys, the exclusive maps aren't really exclusive maps, they allow the people who buy the special edition to test them until they are released.
