I ran the Farcry 2 benchmark before using the game booster. And then i ran it after using it. The Average framrate results are: Before- * Average Framerate: 29.64 * Max. Framerate: 44.07 * Min. Framerate: 19.91 After- * Average Framerate: 30.87 * Max. Framerate: 44.73 * Min. Framerate: 21.34 Only around 1-2 fps boost.
It depends what kind of system you have. I'm playing on laptop, so...
If your PC supports AMD fusion, you have no need for this app. :downs:
Huh? I used it on my 4 year old laptop, and it worked fine and it still does on my current intel pc Download link btw: http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_fusion.aspx?p=1
Does AMD Fusion work on intel builds ?
Yep , there's a hack for it =) http://www.tomshardware.com/news/AMD-Fusion-Game-Utility-Intel,6883.html
It depends what kind of system you have. I'm playing on laptop, so...
Still only gives me a 1-2fps boost.

I am somewhat afraid to use this...
My laptop sucks monkey balls i have to try this
This is only for shitty PCs, people. If you get a good framerate, this won't make it any better (I run TF2 On all very high with 135 fps and this gave me 1 fps boost)

Anybody knows if it helps with Wurm Online?
why's WMI Performance Adapte taking so godamn long to stop? [editline]11:41PM[/editline] i got an avarage of 35 fps while running the video stress test with the program guess what i got without it? .. 35, program didnt do shit for me
Gave me about 5-7 fps! Not much but some, problem is that things seemed to get abit unstable after I used it... Firefox crashed once and so did the window manager, so my start menu etc disappeared shortly, scared the shit outta me since I was working in photoshop at the time! Other than that, worked like a charm!
I might use it when I play Fallout 3, even though my computer isn't old Fallout 3 lags a lot.
I just played a really intense TF2 match and I didn't lag once. Never was I able to be such a good Medic. I hart you.
I just played a really intense TF2 match and I didn't lag once. Never was I able to be such a good Medic. I hart you.
you must have some shitty processes running
Maybe I'll be able to play HL2 for a whole minute without crashing.
you must have some shitty processes running
It's only about 5-10 fps but that 5 is the difference between playable and unplayable.
It's only about 5-10 fps but that 5 is the difference between playable and unplayable.
if turning off processes affects your frame rate, then you either need a memory upgrade, or you are running some shitty process that's stealing your cpu time.
Maybe I'll be able to play HL2 for a whole minute without crashing.
:sigh: Nevermind.
if turning off processes affects your frame rate, then you either need a memory upgrade, or you are running some shitty process that's stealing your cpu time.
Things like LogMeIn, Avast, Windows Aero, U Torrent, Tortoise SVN, and Other odds and ends, with the exception of Avast and U Torrent. It makes the process of turning them all off and on again very simple. Before I wouldn't bother with it because I don't like spending a minute in command prompt. So you're right, it does it's job and it does it very well. [editline]01:29AM[/editline]
:sigh: Nevermind.
Well, if you can't run it before I doubt that it will change that. All it does is free up memory for slight boosts in speed, like 3 or 5 FPS, maybe even 10 at rare times.

I don't feel like investing in a 64 bit computer for a memory upgrade.
Just tested that AMD Fusion crap on an Intel system using the hack, and well this is based on game benchmarks there was no difference.
I am somewhat afraid to use this...
Why?
My laptop sucks monkey balls i have to try this
Go ahead.
Anybody knows if it helps with Wurm Online?
If you're running it on low-end PC or you get shitty frame rate. Yes.
I just played a really intense TF2 match and I didn't lag once. Never was I able to be such a good Medic. It only turns off background processess. For me it's really useful because my explorer.exe appears to eat right through my CPU , so it actually gives me a 7-8 FPS increase

I prefer this to manually shut down processes and services, and you can start them back on with this.
I used this way back but somewhat recently it caused blue screens and i think it has to do with me having some other program that cleans up memory as well causing them to conflict... so if you are having bluescreens with this program check that you don't have any other programs that clean up memory. (The program i had was some teamspeak overlay that had an option to clean memory apparently)
