i spend most of my time on my brother's laptop, but since it's got a trojan i've got to spend all of my computing hours on this shitty packard bell. it wont run most of my games anyway (including tf2) so there's no real point.

Well thats odd.
According to fraps benchmark tool I have an average of 85fps (30 seconds in the intro of the demo battle) no matter if gamebooster is turned on or off. But it might have to do with me being pretty carefull with what I install and closing apps that I know I am not using.
Also I used an optimization guide for win7 to disable unneeded services.

Don't turn off the tablet service if you use a tablet.
Didn't make ANY difference on my shitty laptop.
Yeah I remember good old AMD Fusion, it was awesome.
Helped me make warhammer online playable for me on my old computer!
The program is just badly named. You wouldn't need this if you invested in a memory upgrade or kept start-up services to a minimum.
I keep trying to tell people their PC isn't slow because it's old. It's slow because you have so much shit loading on start up. Also CCleaner FTW

Shit was in PC Gamer. It isn't fake.
It's not fake, just because you don't get results that you want means that it's fake.

Although an increasing number of startup items and services are indeed slowing down systems, If you have a machine with outdated specs and you're using software designed for current-generation machines (ranging from games to browsers and OS'es), you're indeed gonna perceive this as slowness.
Works sometimes, sometimes not. For me at least.
Inb4 it's super spyware that steals your info and gives it to pedo-spiders who invade your house and lay eggs in your balls.

Too late.
Awesome program, still use it every day. It just closes processes in an easy and quick way. Helps me keep stuttering down in games.
Well, I think it gave 1 fps more on Left 4 Dead 2 demo.
Nice for people running 50 unnecessary processes (there are MANY people that have this), but for me, no thanks.

That's good I need more clocks because mine keep breaking and because of obama I can't buy any new ones.

This disables services too, that you can't easily manually turn off.

This is why I use it on my older pc, I can't bother browsing through the services menu and use google to find out what services aren't really needed.
Yes, I know you can do this with msconfig as well but this is just easier, and I don't need to re-enable some services (printing?) when I need them.
(bumb?)
