It's fun for about 5 minutes, then if you get stuck into the community that still tries to mod it, you'll soon realise how bad both the leaked version and the retards that love it are.
There are some legit good work people out there, but most of it is stupid 14 year old russian kids who think it's the greatest thing in the world.

It didn't have the same story, not by far. One of the few similarities was that the combine invaded, alot of the levels were way different, most of the story that was in the beta was scrapped for HL2. It was also going to be much longer.
The Missing Information mod is more worth downloading than the whole beta.
Some of the ideas of the beta weren't bad. Especially some of the combine ideas.
