Server is going up now, the current SVN revision will be released as a new version for the public today.
Wow i tried it. I had a dinner some vine and after paying my bill i started to seduce the waitress and i got a date! Damn, that was disturbing. (Not as much as having sex in space station 13 thugh.)
Ahhhhh. I finally got 1.9 working. It seems it has to be exactly in this path:
D:\Program Files\MIT Media Lab\theRestaurantExperimental
The drive doesn't seem to matter though.

Is there any way i could help? I can only program .NET and shoop up graphics and shit but i assume torque has prefabs for vehicles and such?

Yup, that's the torque engine for ya. Construction mod for Tribes 2 (Torque game) was great because of this because you could literally build forever.
Could you please give out a server ? I could host 24/7 as long as my power doesn't go out. 12 mbit down 1 mbit up. Should be PLENTY for server hosting.

I spent my entire time being molested by a client. He kept trying to pick me up, so in the end I consented and made the grunting noise back. Then he bit me, stole some lobster thermidore and left.
