Oh yes, great game.
This and Dungeon Keeper would be great in modern 3d.
The whole quake series except the 4th.
There wasn't a 4th quake game, like how there wasn't a 3rd Call of Duty.
I can't believe The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind hasn't been posted already.
I was going to say this. Then I remembered that there are mods for making Morrowind's graphics awesome.
Battlezone 2, Definitley!!
Starfox 64 because there hasn't been a new one in the series for the Wii. However, I would rather have a remake on the next console.

Soul Reaver would be breathtaking in high definition.

You fail at life if you can't take things not being what you want them to be. there IS a quake 4 and there is a Call of Duty 3: "console fag edition" get over it.
Agree on the DK2 thing though.

With realistically sized planets and shit.
No man the small planets are awesome.
When Postal 3 comes out... don't use the source engine please....
the source engine is the best engine ever made
there is nothing better so it dont need to be better

I would prefer a sequel to a remake. I thought the game was near perfection.

Wow, way to answer in a believable manner... fanboy...
There are better engines, i guarantee you. it all depends on what you want to do with the engine.

Simply because it was the first game I ever played.
Remember this game, I used to be the weird cyborg guy with the knife hands, kind of like the shapeshifter in Terminator 2 except more badass, Quicksilver I believe was the name, also the Soul Reaver demo on this game was quite fun too.

"Hey Dravis, could you lend a hand?"
Source engine is fucking horrible. Open your eyes and stop smoking that shit. There are far better engines just waiting to have hundreds upon thousands of man hours invested in, but instead we continue to waste our time on an outdated engine.
No thanks. I'd rather be able to mod.
No thanks. I'd rather be able to mod.
Agree'd
Source is stable, thats why the Postal devs are using it. It also has great modability, which some engines don't have.
*cough mw2 engine cough*

'MW2 engine' is actually an updated Quake engine, so it is fully moddable. You just can't do anything too drastic or else you can't play online, but whatever.

Source remake of the first level. Unfortunately, I don't plan remaking the entire game. Last folks who tried were shut down by EA.

Postal 3 is actually looking not bad so far. It feels more like a mod than a game so far but of they follow through on their promises I expect a winner.
Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, and Oddworld games.
No thanks. I'd rather be able to mod.
Source engine isn't the only modable engine. Don't get me wrong, I love source. Some of my favourite games are made with source, I'm very farmiliar with source, yet the possibilities of source as of right now are fairly limited.
Very few game engines, if any, are like Source in terms of modability, smoothness, minimal hardware requirements, etc. I can't name one off the top of my head, but point is, source is fairly outdated. Sure it works, and it's definitely still very playable and fun, but we can do better.
Source will never die though.

Fuck man, I was just about to put that. You have good taste sir.
No thanks. I'd rather be able to mod.
you can mod any engine if you're dead set on it... but, you're right. I think it's good that we have more than ONE game engine then.

What a shit sequel I hate how all the characters became child friendly ghetto gangsters
They lost the funk man
No man the small planets are awesome.
How are they awesome? I see no point to have such small planets if it was remade.

Holy shit, I still have the original disk of that laying around somewhere.
I used to play that when I was like 4 years old, I was pretty much just pressing the arrow keys and firing because I didn't know how to do anything else. :3:

Freelancer is anything but realistic. Part of how awesome it is is how accessible the universe is, everything is tiny, hit cruise and you're there in two, max. It also looks cool. They could be bigger, sure. But realistic sized planets wouldn't be anywhere near as fun. If it needs anything it would be more vertical action. Having everything on a plane is kinda boring.
