Well i'm stuffed since i got the Collectors Edition preordered for PC. I'm not too upset about GFWL, but the DRM is kind of worrying. Scratch that ; I'm now annoyed at the saving system.
Guarantee that someone will have a crack for this out within a week of it having been released.
Fixed that for you, unfortunately.
more like a few minutes.
As ridiculous these DRM features are, I don't really care. I can't see why I'd have to install the game more than once, but I can see the GFWL thing getting annoying. But I've really only had problems with GFWL with Fallout 3. All of my other GFWL games work fine.
Speaking of Fallout 3 for a minute, I bought it on Steam, therefore I was able to play it without having to be logged into GFWL. And, besides that, GFWL is basically a stat/achievement tracker for FO3. It's going to be pretty much the same thing in Bioshock 2, so why not make it optional just like in Fallout?
Is it just me or is Dawn of war 2 the only great thing that can do offline play for GFWL.

Whats a DRM?
Fffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.
if ur from UK or US, pm me and we can get the 4-pack.
Huh? It requires 6600 minimum.
You know, sometimes I wonder if developers intentionally ship games with DRM to eliminate the PC as a gaming platform and make everyone use consoles instead.
As much as I hate to say it, that definitely seems very plausible.
Read my post. It's defiantly there to kill the second hand market.
I agree. I miss the days when you could pick up a game someone else had become bored of at a lower price and receive the same experience. Now everything seems to want to be linked to a single user and locked to them individually so that it cannot be redistributed which brings the original publisher and developer no revenue. I wonder if they will ever try and eliminate the second hand market for console games... now that would be hilarious

"If a user plays a game he thinks it's worth something. It may not be full price but he could wait a few months for the price to drop or pick up a second hand copy!" It's a never ending cycle of failure.
I'm confused. Exactly how does having limited installs prevent piracy?
I bought Broken Steel for Fallout 3, but can't play it because GFWL refuses to update. What a waste of 800 points. I've had some bad experiences with GFWL. Looks like i'll pass on this one.
DRM and GFWL are a minor inconvenience at most and I'm not going to let them ruin the game for me.
See when i hear people say "well I have no issues with it!" i can't help but think that they also don't care much for Obamas new free healthcare plans. Just because there are no issues for you does not mean other people don't.

Allow me to explain my point further. Many complaints you hear against Obama's Healthcare plan are mostly "well I can pay for Healthcare, why can't anybody else?" At least over here in Britain that's the one the BBC news usually shows you. The point i'm trying to get across here is that too many people don't understand that not everybody is in the same situation as you. Just because you have had no issues with DRM or GFWL, does not mean that Nobody else has. Nor does that give you the right to flame people who have had issues.
Aha! That'll stop those damn pirates! Surely this will increase profits and customer satisfaction! *cough* Okay, I'm done. Just had to see how it felt to think like a moron.
I'm confused. Exactly how does having limited installs prevent piracy?
Second hand sales mostly.
DRM and GFWL are a minor inconvenience at most and I'm not going to let them ruin the game for me.
This is mostly what I've been saying, but the people on FP are too thick-skulled to understand a concept like that.
Good to see there's no install limit any more. I'll be buying this game on PC with some friends.
This is mostly what I've been saying, but the people on FP are too thick-skulled to understand a concept like that.
Or maybe your are being too thick skulled to understand that people have been having problems with them. SecuROM on CnC3 Fucked up my old computer no end.

There's no reason why it would unless there was already something wrong with your computer. I own CnC 3 and never had a single problem with SecuROM.
