Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
Nice job rating yourself funny :downs: The only games I've bought that have DRM, I've had 'obligations' to buy. Like demo-less games I've 'found demos' for. But I'm debt free after the Steam holiday sale, totally legit until that next greatest game comes out.
DRM is just retarted, atleast it's a 15 install limit bioshock 1 only had 2 installs.
At least? There is absolutely no intelligent reason to why there must be an install limit. If you buy the game you deserve to keep it forever.
the Install limit has been cut down to 5
Time to abandon any hopes it will be worth buying now. metro 2033, time for me to buy 2 copys. :smug: [editline]06:34PM[/editline] Install limits can't help with piracy. HURR DURR ASSHOLES IT WON'T REGISTER, LUL WELL THIS COPY IS TORRENT, IT HAS BEEN DOWNLOADED 5 TIMES NOW IT WON'T WORK! no, because that is not how it works.
Why is there an install limit on a Steam game? They must be drowning in their own stupidity.
This made me sad. :(
That's silly.
Games on Steam shouldn't have any DRM besides Steam itself. SecuROM doesn't bother me, and I'm not going to install it 15 times... but GFWL... :argh:
When I read it had SecuROM: Eh, so what just about every game has it now. When I read it had GFWL: Oh fuck no, not that piece of shit.
Waaaah, there's DRM on this, lets cry about it Many games already use a Securom/GFWL combo, it's not THAT bad. Stop being babies You do know that they make revocation tools, don't you? Plus they'll give you more installs if you run out, you just have to call them. And it will probably be like BioShock 1, that had its activation limits removed after 1 year. Again, stop crying. Once you create an account you won't even notice GFWL running. And here come the boxes for defending the DRM....
I'm with you for the GFWL thing, the only game I own that has it is fallout 3 and it didn't cause me too much trouble.

Good thing I wasn't planning on buying it anyway, Bioshock was an ok game, but not good enough for a sequel.
And I just preordered the shit 2 hours ago.
Oh god I just remembered, GTAIV on Steam had it worse, it had Rockstar Social Club, Steam and GFWL (Which even to this day, is unstable like no bitch, I tried logging onto it a few hours ago, it flat out refused me. I came back 2 minutes later and it worked fine.)
Waaaah, there's DRM on this, lets cry about it
I rated you dumb for using that stupid thing at the end of your first sentence.
:wom:
Dammit. GFW refuses to work on my computer. This sucks. I'm getting it for the 360.
Until it trys to update!
Yeah, 90% of the time you have to reinstall the entire goddamn program to patch it, it always says it fails regardless.
So, you waste a few minutes with these... I see no harm done.
Yet pirates still find a way to work around this shit. What's the use if it doesn't even work? To piss us off? People who actually buy these games?!
Yet pirates still find a way to work around this shit. What's the use if it doesn't even work? To piss us off? People who actually buy these games?!
Basically this. Within a week of release I can guarantee there will already be a cracked version of Bioshock 2.
So I guess I'll pay for it, then download it from BitTorrent instead of Steam. Not 100% legal, but not exactly illegal, either. Besides, no jury in the world would convict me, and most lawyers would realize they'd lose more than they'd gain by filing suit.
You made me feel like my $89 Pre-order for Bioshock 2: Limited Edition for the PC is a waste. :ohdear:

I don't know how, but they will. Damn lawyers. :argh:
They just released a small notice that should clear some stuff up, here. Honestly, I don't see a problem.
Looks like I'll be getting the crack after purchasing it
im betting that all of this drm will be cracked in 2~ days
Companies still don't trust the PC community :frown:.
OP should update with the new info.
