I never understood the concept of install limits. I BUY the game, not rent it.
Sadly, according to most EULA's nowadays(ya know, those things no one reads) you may buy the game, but you don't own it. You simply own the license to play the game. I really don't know the specifics on the whole thing, but that's the idea in a nutshell
So I guess I'll pay for it, then download it from BitTorrent instead of Steam. Not 100% legal, but not exactly illegal, either. Besides, no jury in the world would convict me, and most lawyers would realize they'd lose more than they'd gain by filing suit.
This reminds me of how I played BS1 over a friend's house for 5 minutes then bought BS1 because it was so good.
What a great business decision. I was just about to buy this game and this totally made me want to get it even more.
How do developers not realize that this isn't going to stop piracy, but just increase it?
I'll probably buy this after they realize the shitstorm they've stirred up.
Trust me, they'll find a way to sue you for a million dollars. I don't know how, but they will. Damn lawyers. :argh:
They will get a cardboard box, a battered tin cup, a dirty plastic water bottle, and a stale half slice of bread.
BOO FUCKIDY HOO!

I don't see how DRM does anything. Pirates always find a way around it.
I reworded it for. Thanks!
Reword it again. You seem nice and I don't want you to get banned.
Oh goddamnit, I thought the title said Digital Molecular matter was coming (DMM) to bioshock.
Fuck, I was so excited, only to find even more security measures. Ruined my day :(
DRM is pointless, the pirates crack it within days of release, if not before. It only adds strain to the people who actually buy the games
Reword it again. You seem nice and I don't want you to get banned.
I did again... :D Hearts for you guys!
Ridiculous. They whine about how piracy makes releasing on PC non-profitable, yet they go and make the PC versions so awful you have no choice but to pirate it. If PC gaming were to die then piracy wouldn't be the only perp with bloody hands.
Oh cool a thread about Bioshock 2 I hope it's update ne--
games for windows live is mandatory
FUCKING FUCK.
man this thread is just full of bandwagons
Of course I read this after buying it on Steam...
I fucking hate GFWL. It slows down your computer when it's running, takes for fucking ever to log into, and is bullshit.
What does Games for Windows do anyways? From what I've read, sounds kind of like steam but apparently shittier. Can someone explain?
man this thread is just full of bandwagons
And there he is everybody, the one and only bandwagon whistle blower. He's a graceful beast and you're sure to find one in every thread. Just don't get too close or it could bite.
I'm going to buy the game and crack it. Or get it on ps3/360

I'm just pissed off that 2K didn't learn from the last time they used SecuROM

all aboard the gfwl hate bandwagon!
all aboard the bioshock 2 instantly sucks because of drm bandwagon!
all aboard the people getting outraged that they might install the game 15 times and never uninstall it once bandwagon!
i hate drm too but it does have an effect on piracy (albeit very little), and come on, 15 installs.
All aboard the "If you hate something your on a bandwagon" bandwagon!
I wonder if in the future companies will smarten up and stop the bullshit or continue increase the amount of shit legitimate buyers already get. I assume that it will only get worse, they add DRM shit to one of their titles, less people buy the game, more people pirate the game for convenience and spite , so in response they add more DRM shit onto it which repeats the cycle.
Most of the pirating is their own damn fault.

GFWL always crashes, is slow, constantly fails to update anything and generally sucks ass. Most people who hate it aren't doing it because of a bandwagon, it simply fails.
And people weren't saying it sucks, they were saying that they didn't want DRM so they were switching to different platforms and rethinking their purchases on the PC.
I was getting it on 360 anyways. Because my friends. Since this one does have multi-player.

never crashed for me, was never slow for me, never failed to update for me and did not suck any ass for me. stop claiming things because you had a bad experience with gfwl.
and reread the first page. people go as far as saying "forget bioshock 2" because of some drm. not buying a game entirely. because of drm. yeah.

I am putting my claims in just as you are, many people have problems with the program, many don't, the thing is though, a program that so many people have a problem with is obviously not that great.
