That's why I mostly play on my Xbox 360, so I won't have to worry about these goddamn requirements. I'm looking at you: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare with your fucking video card requirements
Huh? It requires 6600 minimum. If you didn't got that, your pc is from last decade.
I wont BUY it... (User was banned for this post ("We don't need this information, so why reply" - verynicelady))
What's wrong with Games for Windows again?
What's wrong with Games for Windows again?
Everything. It's shit in every aspect.
I find it nice seeing as I can earn achievements with it when I originally couldn't on Steam.
I find it nice seeing as I can earn achievements with it when I originally couldn't on Steam.
Achievement whore
What's wrong with Games for Windows again?
Nothing much really, people just find it inconvenient so they use that as an excuse to bitch about every single part of it.
Nothing much really, people just find it inconvenient so they use that as an excuse to bitch about every single part of it.
Games with GFWL on Steam is stupid in my opinion, why have two of the precisely same programs running in the background of your game. If find GFWL good enough without Steam, but together it's just memory waster.
Achievement whore
Or I just like to have goals in a game besides actually beating the game? :downs:
Sadly, I have a feeling with this DRM and the DRM being public so soon.. the day it comes out it's going to set records for piracy. SPORE basically did and Spore was Spore... this is Bioshock 2. Although Spore wasn't for a console really and Bioshock 2 is.. I still think it'll hit 2k hard. But, I'll probably buy it eventually.. I just got a new PC so I'm not too excited about any games right now. If I see how the PC gaming community reacts I may buy it and try to bypass GFWL assuming they find a way.
I thought I was getting this game. But apparently not. Fuck that DRM shit, I've had enough of your shit. [editline]04:43PM[/editline] Wait, bad reading? What did I miss?
Everything. It's shit in every aspect.
Yeah. Its an arse to use it in fallout 3. And I don't even know how to use the cd key. I rather have steam. Plus, I see no point how it is useful in fallout 3.

You know, sometimes I wonder if developers intentionally ship games with DRM to eliminate the PC as a gaming platform and make everyone use consoles instead.
You know, sometimes I wonder if developers intentionally ship games with DRM to eliminate the PC as a gaming platform and make everyone use consoles instead.
Read my post. It's defiantly there to kill the second hand market.
I love it. When it was still 15 people going "What's the problem 15 is quite high". Yeah, remember that time where you could install games that you fucking OWN as many times as you wanted? [editline]04:59PM[/editline]
Read my post. It's defiantly there to kill the second hand market.
Yep. Because the developers/publishers see no money from second hand selling. [editline]05:00PM[/editline]
Deal with it. What a petty complaint. [editline]09:56PM[/editline] It's at the very bottom of the page but it's unlimited activations on up to 5 PC's so people have no right to complain about it.
GFWL is no doubt, the worst online system I have ever had the misfortune to be installed on my PC, bar perhaps Gamespy. It is a travesty that should have been taken to the nearest ditch and shot. [editline]05:01PM[/editline]
Nothing much really, people just find it inconvenient so they use that as an excuse to bitch about every single part of it.
Nothing much really, except that it constantly has connection issues, holds your save games hostage if you can't connect to the internet for a fucking SINGLEPLAYER GAME and has somehow managed to make chat and VOIP complicated. Oh and it's inferior at everything it does compared to Steam or Impulse.
Ok I loved Bioschock 1 but DRM is making me take AVP instead of Bioschock 2.
I'm going to pirate this just so I don't have to put up with GfWL. (User was banned for this post ("warez" - Lithifold))
^Might wanna edit that before you get banned
I play GTAIV fine with Social Club and GFWL, but Steam takes up so much CPU as it is... I don't know if my computer could handle both memory hogs at once and give a good fps. Besides the fact that GFWL is inconvenient, that's really my only anger towards it.
^Might wanna edit that before you get banned

I'm going to pirate this just so I don't have to put up with GfWL.
Too late to the above, quoted for justice. :v:
It'd be pretty funny if in the first day of release a pirated version is released :v:
i hate drm too but it does have an effect on piracy (albeit very little)
Oh yeah it has an effect alright, causes more Piracy. XD
It'd be pretty funny if in the first day of release a pirated version is released :v:
Oh, you can be guaranteed that there will be one. Same as L4D2, after it was leaked a day or so early, pirates were all over it like Gabe Newell on an all-you-can-eat buffet. This will probably be more like Robin or Chet at a nerd convention. Same thing but without the massive explosion of torrents.
Oh wow, do they know that by making it online playable by having GFWL means that pirates can play online by using GFWL keys?
I ain't buying it, I ain't stealing it, I ain't playing it. To be honest, the first game was a nice good idea in Theory, but in practice, it was just a rehash of System Shock except much more easier, not as scarier and slightly better graphics. The Second one sticks to the System Shock thing, by changing the person you play as. DRM doesn't stop piracy. I wish all game developers would realise that releasing a free demo will persuade people to buy the game, and by not including a load of unnecessary DRM and GFWL crap in it just to piss people off. If game makers want to have Achievements and Online Play, speak with Valve and make good use of having the game on Steam, otherwise, you're just avoiding the inevitable Monotony of PC gaming downloads.
Whats next? Disc-Based DRM? Only allowed to put your owned game disc a # of times, and then it wont accept it until you pay 15$ or more?
Whats next? Disc-Based DRM? Only allowed to put your owned game disc a # of times, and then it wont accept it until you pay 15$ or more?
Don't give them ideas. And besides, discs tend to be a read-only media, so something like that wouldn't work without other things in play (rootkits etc.). I can think of a dozen other ways morally bankrupt publishers can further remove consumer rights of ownership and basically turn retail PC games into a glorified rental service, but I'll keep them to myself since even though someone is probably thinking the same thing I am, if some asshole actually puts it into practice I know it won't be my fault.
Yeah, but I always have thought and will continue to think of my bought games as my own property just like buying hardware and drinks for example. And not as some license shit.
come now everyone knows your don't buy beer, you rent it.
