Also, I'm gonna make a pause with the ragdolls for about 2 weeks I think. The first week I'll be without my laptop, and the second week I've finally gotten an idea for a TF2 map using Dota 2 assets, so I'll spend my precious holiday time working on that.

As cool as it is to see Dota 2 already works with Source Filmmaker; the size issue for the SFM models is a big issue. Still; wish you luck on getting the models decompiled if you're still doing so!

Sorry for disappearing during a few weeks, many things happened, the USA landed a roover on Mars, Planetside 2 entered beta, but that's beyond the point.
So, I regret to announce that like most of my previous projects, the Ragdoll Factory will be suspended for an unspecified period for the following reasons:
-My laptop on which I've made all my creations since 2009 is now crumbling apart so I need to build a new PC....and I don't have the money for that.
-Making those ragdolls take time, and as much as I like making free stuff for the community, it gets discouraging after a few dozens of hours to not get anything in return
-Dota 2 will be integrated in SFM in a near future, and it seems that everyone has left Gmod for SFM, I'm starting to consider the necessity of these ragdolls
That said, a friend suggested me an idea that could solve all these reasons.
The concept is simple, you vote for a hero by donating 1$. Every one or two days, I check the hero that has the most donation and make his ragdoll.
Knowing that people are willing to pay to see Dota 2 models as Gmod ragdolls would convince me of their necessity, working gets much less discouraging when there is a reward, and getting donations would help me to buy a new PC.
If enough people approve of this concept I'll consider resuming this project. What's your word?
Dude you went up and beyond with what you have done so far man (especially with having to recreate the particles for Invoke, took you a week and I was so damn excited ;_;, I don't blame you.

I'm gonna have to call bull on that on. Just because SFM can make better videos and such doesn't always mean SFM is going to kill Garrys Mod. Besides; as far as it goes with the Dota models; they're (roughly) twice the size of the TF2 models or other props we may of imported from Garrys Mod or other source games. In a few of my SFM videos; I used both the regular models and your GMod models due to the scaling issues with the models.

I, for one, will never switch from GMod to SFM because:
-GMod has that certain comedic feel that SFM will never have
-SFM can't run on my computer
-People like you have spent their own time making mods for the community as a whole, and that in itself is something to admire greatly.
If you keep the project rolling, I will make you some [URL="http://i.imgur.com/2aSvF.jpg"]GMod movies[/URL]. I may not be able to donate, but I know there are hardcore DotaCinema fans out there who would any day.

That's really a shame. Really liked those models. But why do you think such a thing about Gmod and SFM?
I mean, i use both. Noone here does the same thing? SFM can't do some kind of shit like Gmod does, and Gmod can't do some other kind of crap that SFM does.
But well, it's the way you think, and noone should make you think otherwise. Your job was great, hope you do some good things in the future as well.
