after 15 tries, i finally managed to beat Manus, SL1, Solo.
Had to resort to crossbowing him at every chance i got.
What is it?
I can't comfortably walk with my shield raised and kicking/leap-attacking isn't always 100%, but otherwise I don't have any trouble!
set blocking to left shift, I don't know if that's what it is by default but that shouldn't be hard at all

Just ask someone to gift it to you and send them the cash.

I think you can't play in GFWL even if you get the game on steam, though.

You can, I've played with somebody who got it as a gift since they couldn't buy it in their region.
why dose ciaran refer to humans in 3rd person? is she a cyclops?
I think she is some sort of lesser divine, like the other Knights of Gywn, the giants maybe, and the black and silver knights.

I just remember GFWL region blocking it for some countries and thought that Steam blocked it for the same countries
nothing else makes me rage quit more than falling to my death in this game
Shields are for pussies, real men two hand their weapons.
As someone who has done a no shield run I agree with you.
But that doesn't change the fact that most people play through this game with a shield as a vital part of their gear.
Sanctuary Guardian is fun. Really fast paced.
Kicked my ass twice.
Was the new concept art for DS2 posted?
I looked back 5 or so pages for embedded images and didn't see any so if this is a re-post then shit luck, look at them again. (Some was on the mag, but better quality here).

is that a freaking necromorph
is that a freaking necromorph
It was on the magazine and explained as a spider latched onto the back of someone and the spider controls the victim.
eh, it all looks a bit too surreal, even for Dark Souls
Do you think so? I've killed a phantom and a host with that, not counting 4 second battles with hosts. Once you get stunlocked by that thing you're dead. Also toxic. But it's really easy to parry.
I've just never had a good time with it like I have with my Uchigatana or Claymore. Ever since I started with the Uchigatana I just can't go back to slower weapons - I see people stunlocking all the time with the Murakumo and I can't really do that at all.
I can stunlock with the claymore every now and then and that's fantastic

Not really. The parasitic maggots had the same concept in Dark Souls.
My god this game is fun.
Only problem so far is the sudden framerate drops in some areas.

A lot of the Dark Souls concept art was out there but there was some stuff that looked crazy but fit perfectly in-game like CD and Kelloggs.
Also someone put this in LMAO pics:

I think "Be wary of amazing trap" is when you meet Gwyndolin.

Oh god i just beat kalameet Sl1
My arms are shaking oh god
I didn't see kalameet as a hard boss, But collecting his tail was a pain in the ass.
Just lost all souls because I died twice.
This game is so unforgiving :C

Found my second ever Vagrant (first one on PC) a few days ago doing my Bilbo Baggins build. It suicided shortly after but I was able to go down and retrieve the loot. It was only a twin humanity.
Edit:
Before anyone makes a smartass comment, yes that's a magic short sword and magic weapon spell. I'm going to make that short sword enchanted and have another +15 short sword for great magic weapon.
I hate the range on that shield bash. I've been pancaked when I was nowhere near it.
Also what's your opinion on using something like cheat engine to create a PVP build after beating the game many, many times and spending hundreds of hours making them manually? I know it's a personal choice but I always find Facepunch's opinions interesting.
If you keep your shield up the shield bash is a great way to make an opening to get some damage in. Just circle them until they bash, and move in with your shield up so you don't take the lingering/phantom range damage.
I just started playing, but I was wondering what everyone's opinions were on the various "fixes" for the PC version? I played the tutorial just fine without the patches, and I'd rather not compromise performance for the sake of a bit more eye candy. Is it worth looking into any of the patches, or do they fuck shit up?
I've had no problems with DSfix

I used to use the patches, but my laptop kind of sucks so I deleted it for performance purposes. While I had them the game looked really damn pretty though. So basically if you have the computer to run it, get them. Oh, one more thing, only really applicable to me though I think, my parry timings are all messed up at 60 FPS.

Try 40 fps. It smooths the game up quite a bit, but doesn't mess it up the way 60 does.

Considering DSFix has a framerate unlocker it's possible to double your fps.
