If you're still having an issue, homeward bone out and do this:
Well that's going to take a couple thousand failures for me if I tried that. Only problem I've had with Duke's were the Channelers. I always forget where they are and they get free hits on me. :v:
dang it my ds disc got scratched and now it wont read :smith:
If it goes -50% or -75% On steam I can possibly get it for you.
As far as I am concerned, the only reason to do a SL1 run is to be able to use some of the really cool but completely useless items you get later on in PvP. You know, things like the Crystal Ring Shield and Dragon Stones.
So, I'm running about in Anal Rodeo minding my own business and I go to the top of the stairs after the rotating platform thing. As I'm killing the second sentinel, I see that I'm getting invaded. Fine. I haven't done much PvP on this build, let's see what I ca- NOPE DARK BEAD SHOTGUN FUCK YOU. He then proceeds to spam "Well, what is it?" Dark magic is wonderful.
I borrowed Demon's Souls off a friend and am having hella fun. I've been failing horribly at parrying and getting chopped by blue knights, blasted to bits by the Armor Spider and nibbled to death by rats but it's not getting me down. I've peeked my nose into the plague and the storm shaman places. I can't say I'm looking forward to plague rats and having those goddamned tumbling skeletons as a common enemy. There's plenty of bloodstains where people have rolled off cliffs and down elevator shafts, and heaps of funny messages like "My heat is breaking" and "I want to be resurrected" on top of dead horses and "Beginner players should come back here later" on the scaly old troll dude blacksmith's bed but I haven't had any interactions from other players and nor do I expect to. I guess it'll be a hard, lonely road.
Are claws still shit or can I make a build around them that will actually kill things?
Those bell gargoyles. I bet they're actually really easy, I just have that feel. But I keep fucking up on them. When they start with the fire breathing they just tick me down faster than ever.
Are claws still shit or can I make a build around them that will actually kill things?
you can kill stuff with 'em if you know what you're doing, but they're still rather low damage output things they have bleed buildup which is alright I guess; it's 30 per hit then like all but Priscilla's Dagger and the Lifehunt Scythe it does 30% of their HP from bleed buildup [editline]23rd December 2012[/editline]
Those bell gargoyles. For a decent amount of us in the thread they're rather easy - but the second dynamic duo on the game is still a challenge for me solo and will cause many tears for you.

When they start with the fire breathing they just tick me down faster than ever.
If you're really having trouble, you can either summon somebody to help you out (although this gives the bosses more health) or try and use some gold pine resin if you have any. If you're going to go the latter route, however, I would recommend that you 2-hand your weapon. You'll have to roll dodge the gargoyle's attacks, but you'll maximize damage and, ideally, kill the first one before the second one spawns. From there, it's just a game of "Avoid the fire".

I have a character specifically ready to help people at the Gargoyles.

When those bitches team up on me it just becomes too much of a clusterfuck, especially when one is infront of you and the other behind you. They get you in like 2 hits then :(

Got invaded in Duke's near that bonfire in the balcony, after Seath kills you for the first time. The guy was surprisingly a bro, instead of letting the crystal archer keep shooting me from the top of the bookcase, he just points to it and let me kill it. While I did that, he broke all the tables and chairs for a fair fight. After a close fight, he beat me (not surprising, since I suck at PvP) and was very polite through the whole thing, even sending me a message saying "Good fight."

Felt good, but then I realized later that using estus was bad when it came to PVP etiquette. He was a lot better than me though, so I guess it evened it out. Still felt kinda shitty when I realized.

I usually use O's spear, so the one hand heavy lightning bolt interrupts most of the stuff. Or I just do a jump attack and get an early advantage.

$15 on Amazon right now at 63% off, I wonder if steam will do 75% off...
$15 on Amazon right now at 63% off, I wonder if steam will do 75% off...
Tried to buy 2 copies earlier from amazon for my friends but my card isn't supported. I really hope there is a 75% deal.

Manus is the biggest cunt I have ever fought ever. [editline]24th December 2012[/editline] He is ultra-aggresive, and really chaotic, making it hard to predict his moves. I have been having fun with the new content up till now too.

I for one love Manus and find him rather simple to defeat, though a little nerve-wracking at times [editline]23rd December 2012[/editline] If there's one thing I love about Dark Souls, it's the voice acting. Voices like Siegmeyer and Laurentius are so easy to replicate, but have so much character behind them.

Anyway, I beat Manus just now with Sif and some lovely dude dressed up as Ornstien. So it was two Ornstiens and Sif fighting this giant goddamned asshole humanity demon. Was relieving.

Is using Estus seriously against PvP etiquette? Cuz if so, then I'm a complete asshole.
God I got this game and like after I arrive in Lordan there's like no sense of direction to be had also the mouse sensitivity is off the fucking walls
get the mouse fix or play on a gamepad
Yeah tomorrow I'm gonna go out and buy a wired 360 controller, probably. I thought I'd get used to it but i really cant
Yeah tomorrow I'm gonna go out and buy a wired 360 controller, probably. I thought I'd get used to it but i really cant
Just get the mouse fix. Removes the twitchyness and allows configs.
I've played this game for 16 hours but still haven't figured out how to upgrade my equipment. How far into the game before you can?
