why is rolling so disgustingly useless like is it just because im rolling kb/m, or is there actually no analog rolling

When you learn the timings, which is difficult I will grant you, it will become your primary way of dealing with enemy attacks. There are very few situations where blocking is superior to roll dodging. Just be patient and practice dodging some weaker enemy attacks and everything should work out fine. As for the kb/m issue, I don't think that should play a part. The timing is the only issue you should be having with it.

I've seen videos of people like rolling diagonally so they can get right behind enemies and go for backstabs every time i try that i smash my face right into them and they 1 hit me like every other enemy in the game

Its practically how I fight all bosses. You may be having a timing issue, as you get hit midway though the roll past the invulnerability frames if you dodge too soon.

I can control my rolls fine most of the time.

It's a lot easier if you can run and roll around quicker.

So I was soloing Manus, without a shield. He was really low HP, and he starts to shoot dark magic at me. No problem, I'll just use my silver pendant. Nop drink some Sunny D instead. Gets instakilled.

Today I learned that Homing Soulmass at 19 int with an oolacile catalyst is disgustingly weak. Also, during the time I spent leveling my Int, I accidentally pumped a few points into resistance. :suicide:

Huzzah the mighty Manus has fallen! He definitely wasn't as hard as everyone said he would be. Its more of a test of endurance because he has a lot of HP. All of his attacks are easy to dodge if you just roll backwards or to the side. To safely get hits in, bait the attack where he lunges at you and punches down with his fist thing. With the Gold Tracer 2H R1 I was able to get in 3 hits during his recovery time. The dark magic just use the silver pendant. Dark Bead should only take one use. The one where it rains down stuff takes two uses and a roll or three uses without (you can flat out roll dodge this but its harder.) For Pursuers you can just spam it until you see the ones from the side deflected. He won't attack you while his dark magic is out, so you can freely spam the pendant if you want, just not too much or you'll get hit by his next attack.

So it's christmas eve and I decided "Hey, it's christmas eve and I'm tired, what better time to start a SL1 run!" so by thinking that I decided to start a SL1 run on christmas eve. Which is today. How hard is Four Kings SL1? I'm wondering if I should take Beatrice or not.

The Tomb of the Giants is probably the scariest area I have seen in any RPG.

Why is everyone in the undead burg using high level gear even though they haven't beaten the Taurus Demon yet? Just did 6 invasions and everyone was using gear you get after S&O.
