Fun.
sometimes you'll get paired up with someone who ends up 2-hitting the boss, sometimes you'll get some retard who is unable to dress himself
it depends
Retards unable to dress themselves are often the most helpful, in my experience.
Does your resolution happen to be 1024x720? Or did you always just play at that?

What settings are you running DSfix at that make it look the same without it? There is a ungodly difference for me.
My desktop resolution is 1600x900, I run the game at 1280x720 and set my rendering resolution in DSFix to 1280x720.
Looks exactly the same.

Are thou ready?
DSfix broke when 1.07 came around, I just uninstalled it and completely forgot about putting it back in because DkS runs no differently and looks the same without it.
Play with the ini-files and at least put the resolution to your native resolution and unlock FPS and say that again with a straight face. Even if your PC monitor sucks and has 720p as native resolution, you won't go back after you've played with 60fps.

If I'm not mistaken, 1280x720 is the default rendering resolution. You aren't actually changing anything, if you upped the resolution to your native and ran the game at your native resolution, you'd notice a difference.

The default is 1024x720, if I remember correctly.
But yeah, I'll change around a few settings and see how my framerate holds up.
In case anyone has missed it, Dark Souls has a flash sale for 50% off on Steam.

Should I get this for PC if I already have it on PS3?
I can definitely run it perfectly and I have a gamepad.
while looking through the internet to find a way to get this piece of shit to work, this guy just about sums up all of my feelings:
"What a steaming pile of technological horse shit.I've bought Dark Souls and I can't even play it, I've had to reinstall this bag of virtual excrement several times and it hasn't worked, turned out I needed windows messenger to get the Windows Marketplace to work so I did that and find out I need to uninstall both and reinstall them both to work.. finally I have them both working but loading Dark Souls from steam does shit, the Windows Marketplace on the off chance it wants to work doesn't display that I have any full games, I get porn bots speaking to me throughout the whole progress which adds a new level to annoyance "Hey big boy!" it's not the best time! I'm fucking raging I want to slay Dragons and shit but I'm being blocked by Bill Gates and his team of merry men pissing down a tsunami or urine which is Windows Marketplace stopping me from playing what I want and what I've paid for, I've been all through Google and now I'm having to download another free game to get this to work? Fuck off Microsoft just fuck off! Especially fuck off after the website offers no help and another user offers more help than the professionals!"
what's your problem
Dark souls has gone 50% off in the flash sales
Rev up them SL1 Dickwraiths!

Far as I can tell they just changed certain pointers and left others untouched. You can still manually memory edit if you can be bothered to find the addresses each time or recalculate the pointers unless i'm very much wrong and my experimenting has shown me nothing. Although from what i've tried its a race to get the pointer before dark souls crashes from the script I use to allow debugging.
Is this unplayable without a gamepad?

it plays fine either way

Although most of the people I know find gamepads to be much more comfortable.
okay I have the game running now but I'm little confused with dsfix, I want to run 1280x1024 and when I set that in the options it doesn't seem to do anything and instead just takes the in-game option
as well as this, AO seems to be working and toggleable, however AA and DoF does not. any experts?
How does the save game system work? Is it a file I could theoretically copy from one computer to another?
holy shit i just fought the most skilled guy I've ever seen. It was awesome.
we battled for like ten minutes, it was great. he healed up with estus, I used a divine blessing, then he turned off his console.
I'm not even mad, that was so fun.
Exactly how hard is it to get into dark souls? Never played demon souls and I'm afraid that I'm not going to like if I buy it now.
I never played DeS either, but it isn't hard to get into. you don't miss anything by not playing DeS

The game constantly saves. You can't quit and re-load your game like you can in other games. So if you kill some NPC by accident, that NPC will be dead until your next playthrough.
You can create copies of your saved game. However, it'll copy your "profile" and all 10 of your save slots and overwrite whoever you're copying over.

Unless you also make copies of those.
Just bought this and it won't launch.
