If I had two PS3s and two Dark Souls, would I be able to play with someone under the same router?
that sounds almost excessive but i suppose you could..?

My cousin got a Ps3 for christmas and she plays the games I play. I would like it if we could sit next to each other and play Dark Souls, even though she lives right next door to me.
What does the occult effect do?
Gonna drop some screenies from my latest venture into Lordran:
He recognises my power an bows to me:

After accidentally passing into the Capri-sun daemons domain and being instantly annihilated, he was nice enough to leave my bloodstain outside the door for me:

This seems like legit advice:

This is my cursed body. Got to thinking, what if all the cursed bodies down there are those of other players using the games wonderful psudo-multiplayer :v:

What I learned from capri-sun:
-Drop attacks are always the answer
-Dogs suck
-Drop attacks are always the answer
-Corners suck
-Drop attacks are always the answer
-And deamons even with tails have no sense of balance.
Also I found the Gaping Dragon to be a lesson in patience, following a pattern, passing time jogging, and the butthole is always the weak spot.

Fuck where are my images?

There we go.
What does the occult effect do?
it adds magic damage that scales with faith to the weapon
it also lowers str and dex bonuses

They are.

FORGET ABOUT IT!
They are.
And this is why I didn't go around smashing them.
FORGET ABOUT IT!
That's some nice looking gear you got there.
Is it normal to be running to fight the taurus with nothing but your starting gear (since you haven't found anything better at this point except for a better 100% DR shield)
I just can't wait to get out of my fat-suit cleric clothing
Also if anyone's wondering why I'm still running the game at what is effectively 720p, it's because that's my native resolution :suicide:
Pretty much, yeah.
My automerge!
Also I didn't find any gear better than my starter gear until long after Taurus, and even the it was just a payoff rather than an upgrade. Went from wanderer gear to Baller Knight Armour. Needed dat poise and straight damage protection.

I'm not sure if you're being ironic or not...
I want to become a master at parrying just so I can pretend I am blade and make "SCLING CLANG SWOOSH" sounds with my mouth every time I parry

Oh no not at all :v: I really dig that look man.
God damnit that sounds sarcastic too, it's not meant to be ;_;
What's the usual level for people going in to Darkroot? Nearly every time I've been summoned there, me with my +6 swag sword at level 19 does next to no damage to whoever I'm invading.
Also I got summoned against a dude who was no-shield double-handing a longsword, and ended up accidentally ninja-flipping backwards off a cliff while dodging one of his swings.

Darkroot is a bad place for low-level pvp since it has no upper or lower limit on invasions.
I'm can't seem to get the game to run on W8 when I'm using a gamepad. Worked fine on Windows 7.
I have tried most of the suggested fixes (details: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3042127).
Has anyone had a similar issue that they were able to fix?
I've been dicking around and somehow fandangled my way to the Moonlight Butterfly. I have to say that that fight took me a while not because it was overly difficult, it's just that I am built for Melee and waiting for it to come down takes forever.
In other news, some guy invaded me and was using Chaos Flame. Luckily, I was in an open area and could avoid it. After avoiding it for a couple minutes, he bowed and dropped Silver Knight armor. He then equipped a Katana and shield plus really heavy armor. I don't think he expected to lose after I hit him twice.

Next time you fight the butterfly, go human and check the bush under the stairs.

Well, I'm in The Catacombs right now, but I suppose I can go on over there.
SPEAKING OF THE CATACOMBS, I got fucked up by a Black Knight down there. I was trying to avoid the skeletons because, you know, Necromancer and all that bullshit. So I start going down a ladder and my character stumbles, falls down, falls through the floor, and a Black Knight with an Axe smashes my shit in. I lost 8k souls from that.

Don't do it if the boss is dead, I'm just giving you advice for your next playthrough, especially if it's a melee build.

Yeah. I could get it down to less than one bar in one little go because two-handing a Zweihander does miracles. But after that, it took forever for it to come back down, so I had to dodge a lot.
Fuck. I threw my back out earlier trying to put my snowboard in my car. Guess I'm not snowboarding.
Time for Dark Souls I guess.
Fucking taurus man
It's an easy fight, I know what to do and where to go.
Except my fucking character just loves to roll into random fucking rubble, and in this game rubble of any kind = LOL NOPE INVISIBLE WALL CANCEL YOUR ROLL GET HIT LOL CAN'T RECOVER BECAUSE YOU TAKE 3 YEARS TO GET UP
Annoying when you literally get to the very end and he's almost dead but you can't get around him on the small walkway because you just happened to have walked too far down the bridge to where rubble is, that prevent you from getting around his giant hitbox (no rolling between or around legs), or the small rocks (no rolling around or past because invisible walls surround them).
So, I just got Dark Souls for christmas.
Can anyone give me a crash course on how to start? Never played Demon's Souls, I'm going in dry.
I heard Pyromancer is the best to start, advce?

I didn't buy the PS3. My grandparents did.
I was going to get her Dark Souls for it since she plays it at my house sometimes, but I wasn't sure if she would really play it if I got it for her.
