Who the heck is George Micheal?
[editline]28th December 2012[/editline]
I didn't buy the PS3. My grandparents did.
I was going to get her Dark Souls for it since she plays it at my house sometimes, but I wasn't sure if she would really play it if I got it for her.
Go watch Arrested Development.
So, I just got Dark Souls for christmas.
Can anyone give me a crash course on how to start? Never played Demon's Souls, I'm going in dry.
I heard Pyromancer is the best to start, advce?
Always keep your shield raised.
Pyromancer is easy-mode. Start with something you think would be interesting.
Thief starts with the Master Key, so you can choose a different Starting Gift if you start out as Thief.

Warrior is the most noob-friendly, you can use most early weapons with minimal levelling.

Now I feel kind of offended.

Manus, I hate you so much right now.
Ending stream since my mic broke and i have no backup.

Ok i fixed mic issues now acctualy.
So... does anyone have a working strategy for the seven headed water-hydra-dragon-lizard-snake-thingy?
Get close enough to it that it strikes instead of shooting water, keep your shield up and take the hit, and then smack the neck closest to you.
If you're TOO close, the heads will pull you into the water accidentally. You'll get the hang of it.
Why must Dragon Scales be so hard to get?
I can't find a good place to Dragon Eye invade others, and farming the drakes in Valley of Drakes isn't going so well (I get like one every time I go down and kill them all).
I need 40 so I can get the torso.
This is probably late.
But what's with the light in the window in the same "fortress" that Butterfly is flying idling next to (same fortress where you find an ember later).
Before I killed it I decided to check with the binos, and saw a redish light coming through the top most window, yet it was dark later on.
Can you get a screenshot?
Can you get a screenshot?
I would've if I'd known it'd disappear.
A Vagrant maybe?
A Vagrant maybe?
It wasn't a feint light or anything. It was a clear red glow coming from the window.
Don't vagrants shine white?
I think there's two different types of vagrants.

dat song choice
I hope Dark Souls gets voted to be on sale tomorrow. It's like the only game on the GGD front page that I've not played.
I invaded this guy twice in Anor Londo. It was pretty cool and weird at the same time, he wore silver knight (or something i cant remember) armor and the mask of the mother.
We bowed, and instead of running, he walked, and we both walked in a circle, facing each other. It was like something from Star Wars. It was obvious he kept trying to parry me, but he didn't do anything else except a few attacks. I lost both times, but I was glad it was a fair fight.
Think I pretty much fucked my self over just now.
At the Blighttown sewer bonfire close to Quelaag. But I'm all out of of moss, any way to get to the domain without getting poisoned?
(Also, Quelaag is total bullshit, why the fuck is she so fast? She revs up like 15 different attacks before I can even land one)

Best thing I can think of is to go up the elevator and go back to Darkroot and farm some moss.

Fuck shit :C
You could TRY to unequip everything and strategically move across the patches of land.
I have a feel I'll just get raped by the stone throwers.
oh don't be ridiculous.
run ALL the way to the right until you hit a wall, then circle around to quelaag. That way you won't attract giants or mosquitoes or anything over there. Then just wait for the poison to run out. Estus when necessary. You'll be fine.
Well you shouldn't unequip everything otherwise you won't have any poison resist.
[editline]28th December 2012[/editline]
And it's possible to get to Quelaag without getting poisoned if you go to the side of the swamp that's to the left of the entrance to Quelaag's. You'll only get one rock dude on you and he's easy to kill and avoid.
Go up the elevator shortcut and kill the toxic dart blowers. Try not to get hit though...
If you have a homeward bone you could use and you get toxic, just use that.
You can also find the Remedy spell up there.
Does anyone actually summon people to help them for bosses? I've only summoned Solaire twice, Beatrice, and Tarkus. I never summoned other players for boss help.
