You'll find a lot of ganks there because lots of people summon for O&S.
My favorite place is sens fortress because so much wacky shit can go on there.

I was invading people at the church, came across a hacker who had set an arena up (killing all the npcs and waiting at the altar). I traded a few blows with him and figured he couldn't be damaged, so I retreat, pop a humanity and stand near a cliff. After a while of me trying to kick him down the cliff, I finally do it (awful player, really, he didn't hit me once). I thought that hackers die if they fall, but apparently not. He's stuck down there absolutely fucking raging at me over GFWL complaining that he's stuck.
so i was walking through the forest when this faggot cat in this faggot window starts purring at me. of course, this cat is rather large cat, but i ignore that oddity and continue. suddenly, it's fucking talking to me. must have been the flowers i ate earlier after hearing they helped blood congeal after some creepy guy with a knife stabbed me. so it asks me some stupid question and say HEY THIS IS OUR FOREST GET OUT and i just stand there and sort of nod my head. It tells me it likes the cut of my gibb and would like me to join its family. i think a little bit and nod a little more and kneel to my new cat overlord. it hands me a stupid looking ring and says that i should kill people that enter the forest. fair enough, i suppose. so i walk on out and this guy greets me and tells me that it should be fairly simple. so next thing you know, i'm next to the stairs and some faggot with a sword backstabs me from the front. Fucking Dark Souls lag.

Yeah that's one area where the common infinite health hacks will save you from the fall, it seems.

I was thinking about getting this game, but then I came in here and it seems to me it's one of those "build" rpgs where basically you have to use a specific build of stats to actually not suck balls. Is that true or am I just assuming things? Should I get this game? Seems pretty fun, and I do like a challenge.

Anything is viable really. When we're talking builds, it's usually just different things to have fun with. This game doesn't hurt you for building your stats a certain way.

Nah. You don't need builds at all. Most of the people in here have been playing the game for ages so we know exactly where to put our points for certain things, which is why you hear about builds so much in here.

Well I'm currently running it on a GT 240 and an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ at 2.9ghz, honestly you should be fine with that CPU, I barely experience any real slowdown, although I have to admit I don't turn on the 60fps unlocker since I'm usually pulling slightly less than 30. But it's consistent at least.
