I'm finding it hard to get into demons souls in the same way that dark souls captivated me... I might start over as something other than a wanderer

Is there anything dramatically different about the PC version of Dark Souls? I mean I already have it on PS3, but something deep within me really wants to buy it.

The only differences I can think of are the online issues with summoning and DSfix + Texture mods.

After invading in Sens for the last three days, this about sums it up. The game feels kind of short after S&O. Everything stops being hard after that.

I think that's because most of the Lord Soul areas are minor areas, relatively speaking. Duke's is probably the largest, come to think of it. 95% of Izalith is dragon butt and lava, literally no one explores Tomb, and New Londo's pretty small because everyone avoids the ghosts if they can. Compared to the Burg/Parish (garg turf), depths/blighttown (spider lady), and Anor Londo (biggie smalls), the smallest area pre-lordvessel is Sen's and that's more or less meant to be an in-between level. Don't get me wrong, I love the level design (except how easy it is to navigate Tomb), but yeah, the difficulty curve goes down after that. Part of the reason is the access to the Giant Blacksmith, which helps a TON. I wish Anor Londo was a lot bigger. When I first saw the city I thought I was going to explore so much of it, not just two buildings.

I imagine that it'd be a little too taxing on the engine to make worlds that big. Look at blighttown.

Speaking of which, I really hope they improve the engine a lot with the next game. Just imagine a Souls game with DX11 and all the pretty goodies.

It's all one giant area, and you [I]have[/I] to look directly at all of it to get through. If they had split it up into more areas, like they do with [I]every other part of the game[/I], Blighttown wouldn't suck so much.

I've always just done it from memory, which works like 70% of the time.
