I was looking through the Wiki and saw the Shortcut through the Catacombs. Why did I not look at this sooner? I hate the Catacombs with a passion.
What covenant is good for a warrior? Seems like most covenant use miracles and shit, and I have 9 faith at level 40.

Darkwraith or Path of the Dragon. I'd go Darkwraith due to the better PvP situation, Dragons don't get a lot.
Of course the benefits may work best with some covenants, but it really depends on what you want to do within those covenants. I often play PvE so I go Sunbros, even though I don't have anywhere enough faith to use the miracles. See which looks like something you'd enjoy and join it whatever the benefits.

Yeah, I joined Gravelords because I wanted to fuck up Anor Londo. Gotten plenty of darkwraith invasions but zero people invading through my sign. Give it a miss.
On the other hand if you want PvP, Gravelords are good for waiting around crowded areas for Darkwraiths to invade. Just have the game in borderless windowed mode and keep an eye on your homeward bone for people trying to invade. Then just alt-tab and wait for a message about an invader to pop up.

I usually just join covenants like the Dragonbros/Gravelords for the gear you get, then I become a darkwraith. I wish it wasn't so damn hard to get Dragon Scales though, ranking up in the Path of the Dragon is only really possible via farming Valley of the Drakes.

Started playing this yesterday, got invaded at the Undead Burg whilst I was still swanning around in starter gear by some guy who I could barely damage - he was completely trolling me, nearly killing me in one hit then waiting for me to heal before coming at me again, so I lured him to the bit before the Taurus Demon and kicked his ass off.
I don't think he expected that.
Now running around in chainmail with a heater shield and the Drake's Sword, getting my ass kicked repeatedly by the MechaBoar in the parish
Gosh, it's like 80% of all covenants have something to do with Miracles.
Puts my anti-miracle warrior in a bad spot.

It's kind of super-important part of the game so I'd guess you can. :v:
There's no way to not be able to use the lordvessel. Just don't place the lordvessel before you kill the 4 Kings though.
Sometimes when I walk around I see loads of messages. Sometimes it's something like "Bonfire Ahead" and then followed by some rating. Are these placed by players?
Also I sometimes see shadows fighting alone when looking at a bloodstain what's that?

The messages with rating are written by players, and the blood stains represent where players died.
