Mecha boar is super easy. Just lure him into the fire spikes, he'll practically kill himself.

Guys, my bf is having a problem when trying to play this game.
Every time he starts it up, it insta-CTD's. Now he fixed this the other day by completely removing all traces of GFWL from his PC, reinstalling it, then having to make a second admin account and playing the game on that account. That finally got things working for him.
But now today when he tries to play he gets the same problem.
Anyone run into this and have a real permanent solution to it? Seriously, fuck games for windows live.
So I went to Ash Lake to try and get some twinkling titanite.
So far it's the coolest area I've seen (hydra was a bitch though).
And then I had to make my way up The great hollow. That alone took like an hour ._.

Could be you're using a version of DSFix that hasn't been updated, that's usually what gives me CTDs.
Hey guys, I'm a new blood here. Made it to Anor Londo, got a Lightning Greatsword +3 and Queelag furysword to +5 and I'm currently at SL 60. Do I still have a chance of summoning a coop player for O&S?
You might have a chance, but that's a pretty high level. But considering your equipment, you shouldn't even need to. O&S should be easy like that.

The way I see it, don't bother using either bonfires unless you have the Lordvessel with you. At least that way you can homeward yourself out of the damn place.

I have a level 49 in Anor Londo I've been sunbroing/dickwraithing with. I can throw down a summon sign if needed, just tell me when.
Noob question: I'm at the Undead Parish. Do I have to run all the way back to Firelink Shrine, or is there something like fast travel?
There are shortcuts all over the place. Look inside the church, there's one which takes you straight back to Firelink.

In the church, there's an elevator next to the staircase.

Just beware at the church man.
I recommend going to blacksmith before going inside the church, there's a bonfire there that'll save you much rage.

You know, I just realized a very interesting thing that was put in the game to break the 4th wall.
Kaathe talks about how all the other "dark lords" failed him, becoming the Darkwraiths and just chilling in New Londo, right? What if he's talking about your characters? You know, all those ones you've abandoned and left behind to work on other ones. What if they were the failures he was talking about and they became what they are because of them being abandoned? In some way, Kaathe is representative of the player. They both leave behind those that don't seem adequate enough for them, and they're not afraid to get rid of those guys either.
Just thought I'd share this. Seemed interesting.

Or he means characters who go talk to him just to join the Darkwraiths and never complete the game

Why does this game have to be so unforgiving?
I had 36,000 souls and was on my way to a bonfire to spend them. Suddenly I end up in Blighttown and step through planks and end up in a place I can't get out of. I walked across one of those swaying bridges and fell off. I respawned at the Firelink Shrine and I can't find my way back there to reclaim my humanity (humanities?) and souls.
Why game!? WHY!!???
