So I just learned that the grass shield boost stam regen a lot... according to the description of it on the wiki
however I fail to find a way to get descriptions of weapons/shields in-game? It just brings up stats instead.
try death

There's a button to swap between stats and description...it may or may not be X on 360.
Christ, invasion is such bullshit. I'm bad enough at this game as it is, I don't need enemies that think and have a vested interest in seeing my ass dead. :(

Don't go human then?
[QUOTE=Rats808;39038260]Don't go human then?[/QUOTE]
I went human so I could summon the sun knight guy to help me with the gargoyle boss.
Next thing I know, I'm back stabbed, with a heart felt message of, 'lol 2 ezy scrub' in my inbox.
Next you're going to tell me I can't actually summon him.
You can always message the invaders if you have enough time. I've done that a few times and sometimes they'll leave you alone.
last time someone did that to me I dark handed them and the black crystal'd out

this made me laugh[/QUOTE]
It's also 100% accurate.
If you're getting lots of invasions, quit to the menu and reload. It doesn't take long if you have Dsfix skipping the intro and it resets the peer pool giving you plenty of time before the next invasion. If you do get invaded, it achieves the same thing if you sign out of GFWL and then sign back in immediately.
Wow are you fucking kidding me. I finally got through the asylum and arrived in Firelink and when I went to open my Steam menu I somehow cast fireball on the little shithead sitting next to the bonfire I had just lit. He kills me ten times even if I tried to run away. Time to make a new character.
That is my suggestion, yes.

I suggest never leaving your flame equipped and ready in your left hand, otherwise you'll accidentally cast whatever every time you open overlay. (Shift is block/left hand light attack, tab is parry/left hand heavy attack)
Also yeah making a new character is probably a good idea.

Yea, I was like "oh i dont need him anymore, just gonna kill him and see if he drops good shit."
I got him to half hp, and noticed he was fighting back now saying constantly yelling shit @ me. I kept trying to run, I ran everywhere. I got away by going in the elevator, and just camped out down there killing shit. I tried to keep going and 2 ghost came out. I died, respawned, and the guy was coming up the stairs. OH god I was scared shitless, he wouldn't shut up.

Usually the first thing I do when I arrive at Firelink is kill that guy. Free souls and I've not seen him being any use on the playthroughs in which I let him live. I usually make him fall off the ledge on top of the stairs which lead to New Londo.
Well he does give useful advice, if you bother to listen to him.
Phew, rang the bells at the church and decided maybe it's time to level up after all since a friend wanted to co-op with me. I love the lightning spears you get from joining the Sunlight covenant, by the way. They do some serious damage and wreck shit up.
I already have over 60 hours of gameplay on this game and I have only owned it for barely a week
this is not healthy
that's just ten hours a day
scrub
[editline]31st December 2012[/editline]
i'm at roughly 1.3k hours
that sounds unhealthy
zinayzen really is preparing to die
I just picked up Dark Souls.
So far im having a blast having my shit fucked up.
What doesn't kill you is just going to wait until you come back around so that it can...

[editline]31st December 2012[/editline]

If you make it past Quelaag, there will be a lever. Pull that to ring the bell. After that is the entrance to Demon Ruins.

You have to get the Basement Key. It can be found outside the Undead Church. You know that giant gate where the Armored Boar was? There's a corpse there on the stairs that has it.
Once you have the key, you need to go back to where you first meet Solaire, that big bridge that the dragon likes to hang out on. The door there will unlock and you can make your way down.
Prepare to rage hard over the Capra Demon.
I feel like I never had an issue with the Capra demon. Then again, I was using a +5 Zweihander and had Silver Knight armor...

I had that figured out myself and made it through blight town and ended up in that locked off area with all the ghost trying to buttfuck me.
I've had this game since it came out, but I still haven't beaten it.
I'm dreadfully frustrated with it.
My main fire has been extinguished and now I have to do that. I went into the underground depths with the wraiths(I'm unable to remember the name of this area) and I'm using what few transient curses I have to get through the area, but I'm not sure what I'm really doing down here.
