Yep, I'm on PC. Stuck on the gargoyle boss though. I can't deal any damage to it since I'm rolling and evading its attacks all the time. Thanks for the thief tips, guys.
have you upgraded your weapons to +5?
Okay, just tried to coop with a friend and after going an hour without a bonfire, we get invaded by a darkwraith and both killed in one hit. This isn't my game. Sorry. I'm uninstalling.
don't let one twink ruin your time, getting invaded is the risk you take for going human and if you get killed, chalk it up as a learning experience
don't let one twink ruin your time, getting invaded is the risk you take for going human and if you get killed, chalk it up as a learning experience
I really don't want to spend another hour getting back to that one place, fighting the same enemies in the same areas, constantly at risk of death and losing everything all over again. If I'm going to be forcing myself to complete repetitive and tedious tasks I might as well be doing something productive, like writing code. [editline]1st January 2013[/editline] Like I said, this game isn't for me. No offence intended, but, this isn't fun for me.
I can't think of anywhere it takes an hour to get to constantly.
I'll help! Setting up summon sign in front of the fog gate if you want Name's Razzyvex, put it up.
Lost all of my humanity :c Also I upgraded my longsword like 2-3 times and got a gargoyle halberd for some reason although I haven't killed any of them [editline]31st December 2012[/editline] Can't parry at all too

I've got nothing to do, so just message me per Live or here if you need me. Also, if you set up a message somewhere and tell me where it is, I'll upvote it, resulting in humanity for you.
Ugh so I did "Use" on a Fire Keeper Soul because I thought it'd upgrade my Estus Flasks :(
he probably didn't open the shortcut between Firelink Shrine and the lower burg vigorous exploration is important people
This is the most infuriating way to lose a fight. [img_thumb]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/595865288623903154/0782DD0F5C3A7A1F68344E7D544FEC200E1FA677/[/img_thumb]
I joined the Forest Hunters to try out some PvP and got my ass totally annihilated. I killed 2 people including one's panthom. So damn cheap that they walk in the forest and make their phantom do all the damage and then THEY finish you off with a cheap hit

you could try hiding and waiting for other park rangers to help out, 9 times out of 10 you're going to invade people prepared for a fight

I hate those people.

Two first PvP encounters: First : Use gestures 100 times. He walks behinds me and flames my ass. Second : He throws a million poison bombs at me, then hides and I die. :v:
Can I have your humanity when you leave?
It's too late, he's already gone hollow.
It's too late, he's already gone hollow.
Well I guess that solves quite a bit.

Is it possible to ring the church bells in the Church? Because I heard that almost right before my death. Was kinda cool.
Is it possible to ring the church bells in the Church? Because I heard that almost right before my death. Was kinda cool.
What you heard my fellow undead is other players beating the boss on the church and then ring the bell there.
There's nothing better than killing a black knight with pyromancy, having his shield drop, and reading the description that their shields are fire resistant
What you heard my fellow undead is other players beating the boss on the church and then ring the bell there.
I heard it last night too and I knew about it beforehand it's just when you actually hear it you sorta think "Wow that's really cool" Almost like you're in it together, but not.
I just got invaded by a guy in blight town, and it was hilarious. He was using some kind of magic that laughs when it hits things (don't know what the hell that is) and he threw dung pies at me until we were both toxiced. It was just too funny to be mad when I lost. He invaded me a second time and we had a straight up fight and both ended up on very low HP, he then dropped 6 large titanite shards and toxiced himself to death. I actually really enjoyed it.
I'm still really happy and surprised that once I got in to Blight Town I managed to get all the way through and kill Queelag without any issues. (Deaths not withstanding because those are inevitable I mean graphical fuckups/framerate drops.)
I heard it last night too and I knew about it beforehand it's just when you actually hear it you sorta think "Wow that's really cool" Almost like you're in it together, but not.
I made a char that just helped gargoyles for a while - Hearing the bell ring a minute after beating them is just so satisfying.
I feel like I never had an issue with the Capra demon. Then again, I was using a +5 Zweihander and had Silver Knight armor...
Capra demon itself was easy. The only hard part about that fight are the fucking dogs and the tiny ass space you fight in. Being human and summoning someone for help makes this fight sooooo much easier because one of you can focus on the demon while the other person focuses on the dogs. Beat him my first run through with a summon. [editline]31st December 2012[/editline] Also I dreamed about this game last night so I guess it's offically for me I don't even know what exactly is about it that makes it so good exactly. I don't particularly crave for games to be super hard or anything, and I usually hate repition/backtracking through areas, and most of the difficulty is learning where the monster spawns are that usually surprise kill you the first time through an area (so its not like I have to be on my toes at all times because of super smart AI, just really brutal but dumb monsters), etc. But yet I've been pretty much playing it every day for hours on end without even wanting a break (a rare feat these days), and the only thing keeping me from frying my brain with an all day marathon of it is my wits and my job. I guess the fact that everything is a threat, even the same guy you've been past 10/20 times already, with the combat being so well done, with the knowledge that I can evenntually look like a super-badass if I keep playing, and with the fact that there is so much discovery in not only exploration but in new enemies/attacks, that makes it so addicting to me. So backtracking doesn't feel tedious because even fighting the same enemy over and over feels really satisfying when they can very well kill you if you aren't careful (but yet being a higher level and being better at the combat mechanics means you can wreck his shit so much easier which is SO SATISFYING). I feel like the secret is simply not defaulting to "easy peon" enemies for the start of the game. If games made more enemies actually hard from the get-go and still a threat late game if you are careless, then fighting said enemies will always stay interesting for the whole time you are playing. The little undead warriors die in one hit now yes, but it's easy for them to gang up on you still and they can still take half my health bar down at SL27 if I don't play conservatively. So knowing that they were hard to handle except with good use of one-on-one fighting early on, and knwoing that I can one hit kill them now is really really satisfying. But at the same time I can't just cheese through areas they are in because they can still frenzy attack me (lots of damage), they can still block my attacks, etc.
