Changed the build around after a few thoughts (and by your suggestions). Thinking about going for silver tracer with a light shield of some sort. Not sure what armor set would work the best. I could upgrade thief to +10, appears to have decent stats.

they're too dumb, they try to roll away in fear but the AOE gets them.

Huh. Invaded a guy, killed him, went to use the red eye, invaded him again... except I spawned in as a white phantom. Then I died to a royal sentinel while I was shooting the other one in the ass.

I have mastered the "Greatsword" and all of it's moves to the point where I can land all the attacks in pvp without locking on. So what I do nowadays is sit at the top of the hill in the forest in human form and act as Old King Doran from demon's souls. (But I'm dressed as Guts from Berserk) I will fight with one hand until half of my hp is gone and then two hand it. Only way to ever get banned for cheating is if you blatantly hack and a [B]TON[/B] of people report you. You load up that file in Cheat Engine.

Dark Souls has been running out of life for me lately, I played it so much and did so many different things. I have so many characters and all kinds of builds. I need some new content or game.

I go through all the trouble to find Vamos and upgrade a greatsword to +5 fire, and it only does half as much damage as my +10 claymore, even against enemies that are weak to fire.

that's because it's +5 fire and not +10 [editline]17th November 2012[/editline] the large flame ember's in the demon ruins. once you get to the second bonfire by all the capra demons, walk down the stairs until you fight the taurus demon. then turn left and keep going. a bunch of fights later and it's in a chest (or corpse i think). or the chaos ember, which is in a lava pool by all the taurus demons at the first bonfire

I hope there's a significant difference between +5 and +10. It just seems more worthwhile to just use a resin on a normal sword.

Depends on your stats. Chaos +5 w/ 10 humanity is superior to almost every other choice.
