I made this weird Sunbro build that works surprisingly ok for PvP which I suck at.

Why not put bow in right hand and talisman in the left?
Why not put bow in right hand and talisman in the left?
Because you can block while holding the talisman that way.
Alright, figured out how to Render things into smaller file sizes. Going to upload my Dark Souls test video now... chances are its going to take a little while, bet my internet speed is going to take a dive half way through this.
I need to get one of those clip on microphones...
Oh my god hah.
So I changed my in-game name via cheat engine to something, changed it back when summon signs vanished, but I still saw my summon sigh when my name was changed.
So I tried summoning myself.
Would not recommend.
Is there any reason my weapons (Lightning longsword+2 and Furysword+3) are doing almost no damage against Manus? Against other bosses/enemies I do around 150, but on him I only do 40.

Try using better weapons. Manus is a boss intended for high level characters and gear, I wouldn't go in with anything less than +5 lightning(max). And ditch the longsword for a katana or something.
Because you can block while holding the talisman that way.
That is exactly my reason because I'm going to have to two hand the bow anyway

Every boss in the DLC has stupidly high resists. So first of all, the Furysword is 90% fire damage, which he's like 95% resistant to. The lightning longsword's just as bad.
Your best bet is to go pure physical damage. Great Lord Greatsword wrecks every boss in the DLC and has really low requirements.

I also need to complete the game to get it, which rules that out of the equation.
fine, have fun doing -10 damage

Just +15 an uchigatana.
I seriously don't understand how the Gravelord Covenant works. Like I joined and everything,
I went to Anor Londo and used an Eye of Death, and have just been waiting for someone to come kill me. Is that pretty much it?

yes,
except it only affects people in NG+ and above for some stupid reason meaning whenever one of my fellow gravelords decide to go gravelording guess who's affected
my sl1 ng+++ char i'm doing :(
So... that's probably why no one's coming.
Cuz I haven't finished the game yet. And I just missed out on Darkwraith too.
Okay, so, I need your help guys.
I just went out and bought a wired controller so I don't have to put up with the shitty port controls, but Dark Souls isn't picking it up.
I can press the guide key and GFWL detects I have the controller, but I can't do anything in darksouls.
Any help?

Gravelord is all about having people invade you (Either via your gravelord sign or a dickwraith), unless you take enjoy in the fact that someone might have black phantoms in their world if they're in NG+

Make sure you have the drivers up to date.
My friend had the same problem, even after he installed the drivers three times. It worked the fourth time.
I just had what is by far my favorite invasion so far.
I invaded a guy in Duke's, and he was trying to progress through the level as normal. I was running to catch him, which meant I would have to use the rotating stairwells. I got to one, and it wouldn't work. It turns out he was on the other side. I figured I'd fuck with him and as soon as it let me, I switched it back. Apparently my timing is legendary, because he tried to beat the rotation and fell.

So you divided by zero then?

And if you enjoy that, make sure you Gravelord in Anor Londo, it makes it nearly impossible to clear with Black Phantoms.

Got this last night. (thanks, bootlord)
Killed Gargoyles a while ago, (forgot to cut off the tail, oh well.) and killed my first invader, too!
Tried to use pyromancy on me so I stabbed him in the face.
off to kill Havel I go!
Finally got around to actually beating the game. Went with Dark Lord ending (I think it's much cooler compared to Linking the Fire). Now to dabble in NG+ while working on other characters.

Nice, how long did it take?
Someday I'll beat it... someday. But hell, I'm pretty sure I've already racked up a thousand deaths.

I didn't do every bit of content and most of my time was spent doing PvP. That character has around 25 hours played. If I actually took my time it would have been longer.
That seems short to me, my first character going through was more like 50 hours. Not sure what the norm is :v:
That seems short to me, my first character going through was more like 50 hours. Not sure what the norm is :v:
It's extremely short considering I basically killed bosses, farmed to get better equipment, and some PvP on the side. It was essentially a speedrun without skipping the levelling/farming parts.
This time I think I'm going to make a Miracle-based character and take my time on it. Actually go around and enjoy every nook and cranny the game has to offer.
Yea, I was going to say... 25 hours seems pretty fast. I'm not even close to beating it and I've probably put in 20.
I'm playing pretty completionist though. Looking around every corner, trying to find hidden areas, etc.

That's what I need to do if altitus doesn't consume me. I have 64 hours played across all my characters. Can't.stop...making...
