You realize you're asking for a build that could take until the final area of the game to even start gearing up, right?
umm yeah i just wanna look good and kill stuff fast
lock onto enemy press r1 get money

Why do you want a build to look good and kill stuff without playing PvP, if you're PvE you can do just about anything and win
Blighttown became so much better after killing those sneaky dart people.
So, I'm in dire need of humanity, what's the best way to get humanity? (Before the DLC)

Just beat Artorias. Hardest and most fun boss so far, it was so satisfying to finally beat him.

That doesn't look particularly beautiful...
That doesn't look particularly beautiful...
The graphics of the game don't determine how well it looks, you have to commend the beauty and scale of it.
argrhrghhrgh how the fuck
so many ragequits
So, I'm in dire need of humanity, what's the best way to get humanity? (Before the DLC)
Put down summon signs before bosses and help them win the fight
You can buy one at the aqueduct vendor
Pisaca (squid things in Dukes) and Skeleton baby's (Tomb of Giants) drop them occasionally
Do you need them for a boss fight or something?
The graphics of the game don't determine how well it looks, you have to commend the beauty and scale of it.
I just love how you can see other places. Like from the top of sens fortress you can see undead parish and stuff.
One of the coolest things I like about the game is discovering those secret little shortcuts, like how you don't have to fight the Taurus demon at the start of the game, you can just go down the staircase and into the forest.
I just lost 33 humanity to Sen's Fortress at the top swinging blades.

Thats because most of the game (maybe all) is one whole map.
I'm pretty sure at this point I can get from Parish to Anor Londo in under five minutes. I've yet to time it but I'm pretty sure it's around there.

Pretty much like this:

So glad those fuckers don't respawn when they die. They really were the only hard part about blight town for me

I'm trying to beat Artorias right now, too. What'd you use?
Also, I'm swapping between upgraded Zweihander and Claymore, should I upgrade the claymore to Lightning?
Is the stray demon even worth the trouble?

What? The small details are just as important and plenty of stuff is completely missing detail. Rooms will have completely flat walls that intersect with the floor at 90 degree angles. The best looking things in the game IMO is the armor and bosses.
Going from Lower Undead Burg -> Depths -> Blighttown is making me depressed. I want to see the sky.
Now it seems I have to go even depper down some hole.
You can see the sky in Blighttown. Kinda.

Well technological barriers are kind of a huge issue with seamless open world games on the Xbox.

You can see the Duke's Archive all the way from the bridge in the Undead Burg. You can also see Darkroot Basin from there.

Suddenly the game feels much smaller than it first did :v:

Yeah it's pretty sad that the sequel will still be made on this gen.

I think the same still looks really good at a high resolution with some good AA and DoF. The DoF is what really saves the game for me, it really makes the huge vistas look really big and impressive.
Sure the game could go for some higher res textures or whatever in places, but they certainly aren't low res. A lot of Anor Londo's charm too is that it's basically this giant city of the gods, so its layout is very uncoventional and it feels very very sterile. Giant rooms with nothing but polished marble and colmns in them, that sort of thing. It wouldn't really fit IMO if anor londo was full of chairs, tables, desks, whatever.
Also IMO the stray demon isn't worth the trouble. He's completely avoidable (stick to the sides and you won't fall in) and all the good stuff you get in the asylum is past him.
That said he's a great boss to tackle late game for a challenge. He is also garunteed a drop of a titinite slab, which is very hard to come by. So if you want to complete a weapon upgrade path he's a good choice to beat so you can get the slab to do it with. But you won't even need to get to that point until way late game.
The stray demon isn't terribly difficult, he's definitely worth killing for the titanite slab to +5 lightning/+15 a weapon.

Depends really on how they handle it, apparently the last time they spoke the level design was only 25% done, 2013 might not be their deadline so they might just say "whatever" and go to the Durango.

You only really see a small portion of Lordran overall
