This part contains my choice for heavy armor on SL1 characters, for those interested that might not be following the whole guide. SL1 Guide 11 - Heavy Souls "This episode marks the point where we've pretty much gathered everything we need for an SL1 run! We'll grab a couple rings and such that can be helpful but as of now we have everything we really need!"
Any tips on the best place to white phantom at around SL15? Lost a LOT of souls and am hoping to use some early game bosses to get them back again.

Is Vow of Scilence worth to trouble to get in the painted world? Problem is, it seems like a miracle that is only useful against PvP and it totally useles against PvE. Plus it uses up two slots. But it does look bad-ass, and seems to be reallly really good in pvp, should I ever start doing that hard-core. I just feel like great magic barrier would be better since it pretty much makes you immune to magic damage anyways, which would work work great against PvE and PvP (though force spells probably still stagger, and it probably doesn't work against fire), and work against echanted/magic weapons. Plus it only uses up one slot
Gargles.
Is it just me, or does Ash Lake feel wasted potential, I mean to even get there you need to walk down an archtree. but when you get down to the lake, yes it is like the coolest place in the entire game, but there isn't really anything "there", unless you're going to join the dragonbros. I wish it had a real unique boss.
Just got my gamepad, but I'm having trouble getting it to work with the game. It works fine, just not with Dark Souls. I've been looking around for different solutions but none of them have worked so far, any tips? I'm not using an official Xbox 360 controller, or PS3 controller btw.

There isn't a ton of stuff there, but it adds depth when you can go to a place that serves no purpose other than expanding on the world. It's like the 1km squares of planets you can land on in ME. There may not be a ton of stuff there, but it gives the world depth.
I wanted to dive down into the waters of Ash Lake and play with my underwater friends. Then I remembered I sink like a stone in armor and the Hydra is tiny, compared to everything else at that lake (trees), and potentially under it. Spooky.
I think the potential lore around ash lake is what makes it so interesting I remember reading one theory that the ash lake it basically like the world underneath the world, and all the arch trees represent links to other player's world. So it's basically like the nexus that connects your world with the other worlds, and the arch tree is the link to the world. There's no real anything to support that idea or anything but it's pretty interesting to think about. Being able to travel to another player's world while not being a phantom/spirit, theoretically by going to their arch tree and phsyically entering it. Of course you can't actually do that, but still cool to think about.

So playing as a mainly dex PvE character (First I've really gotten anywhere on) I've decided I need better armor for doing O&S so I've decided on a semi crazy plan. I'm going to wear Silver Knight Armor (+5) and still be able to fast roll. It's gonna take around 6 and a half hours of clearing the sentinels at the first bonfire in Anor Londo at three minutes a run but I'll look so swaggin' and I'll be so nicely armored at the end of it I swear it's worth it or something. Also that's only counting the time it'll take for me to get to wearing the armor (the 50 some endurance I'll need) not the time it'll take to farm up the 45 sparkling titanite to upgrade it. Plus I intend to get the flippy ring so I can flip around in heavy ass armor. http://mmdks.com/nlk

i've discovered something even more fun than invading Duke's invading ToG with Ring of Fog and Aural Decoy. :v: They freak out almost instantly.

If I buy the DLC on my PS3, will I have to make a new save to play it? And what's the ideal level range for the new content?
i reserve my HELP ME carving for my terrifying monstrosity build egg head + power within + poison/toxic/acid clouds you end up looking like a walking nightmare i just spam HELP ME and kick at them until my worm attacks them [editline]4th January 2013[/editline]
If I buy the DLC on my PS3, will I have to make a new save to play it?
If I buy the DLC on my PS3, will I have to make a new save to play it? And what's the ideal level range for the new content?
If you want to see the new cutscene you'll have to do the DLC before you fight Sif. The average level for summoning seems to be around 70.
i wish i could think of fun builds for sens that aren't horrendously squishy but every one i can think of prioritizes shock and awe above survivability :(
Argh. I finally reach the Undead Chapel and THEN you also have to defeat that fucking triceratops boss? Yet another 5+ ragequits
triceratops? the fuck you talkin about the fang boar? that's a boar. a completely different animal
Do people actually rage in this game? For some reason, I'm always completely calm, even when I die I'm like "ok".
triceratops? the fuck you talkin about the fang boar? that's a boar. a completely different animal
Pretty sure he means the Capra Demon.
Pretty sure he means the Capra Demon.
But he's talking about the church. Capra is pretty far away from the church.
Maybe he means the Titanite Demon near the Darkroot Garden? I don't know.
he means the boar guys
When you invade, does it show your XBLA/Steam account, or your in-game name?
